3030-mag.jpg
[edit]I really, really hate it when people are not notified when their image is being listed on WP:PUI as happened in this case. The image was listed there for the following reason. "Image:3030-mag.jpg - tagged as {{PD-release}} from a website. Unfortunately source website states "Website ©2007 Archaeo-Physics LLC. Unless otherwise noted, materials from this website may be reproduced for nonprofit educational purposes; please cite or link to source page.". This is definitely not PD and Wikipedia requires release for all purposes, including commercial." The image is, according to the source site, not public domain and not free enough for Wikipedia. License tagging for Image:LINE21.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:LINE21.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:08, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[[Geophysical survey (archaeology}
Hi Tapatio,
Please see my post at this article's talk page. Just saw your user page and saw that you, too, are a geophysicist. Either way, if you need help give us a holler. :)
Cheers,

- Hey, Tap.,
Have replied to your post. Sorry for the double-post above. Don't quite know why that happened...
Ta,

- Hi Tap,
- Have noted your creation of new pages. In regards to what you posted on my talk page:
- Have changed signature,
- When I wrote that "Mag[netometry] is out", I meant in general. Of course, there are still places where these techniques will work. I have only been working in this field for a year now, and from what I can gather the nearest competitor is situated in New Zealand, so it will, undoubtedly, take time to learn how to adapt to these conditions, and
- I'll have to look into electrical conductivity and magnetic susceptibility.
- With thanks,
Re: Hominidae
[edit]I knew the revert would happen sooner or later, but I am glad I have some support on changing the terms from "Great Ape" to "Hominid." I'm the one that influenced the change of the name of the article itself, but I guess other editors are afraid of a complete change of term use. -Ano-User (talk) 04:33, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Magnetic survey
[edit]Tapiato,
- I am proposing major changes to the magnetic survey page (see Talk:Magnetic_survey_(archaeology)), and I'd like to know what you think. RockMagnetist (talk) 13:53, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

File source problem with File:DaveEM.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:DaveEM.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 12:24, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
