[edit]Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Let's Kill Tonight, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. Please do not add or change content, as you did at Hang On (Weezer song), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Robvanvee 05:35, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- I have reverted your disruptive mass addition of mostly unsourced edits. Feel free to add the category back provided the genre is reliably sourced in the article, thanks. Robvanvee 07:11, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
Dude, what do you mean? I wasn't aware that you had to source category edits, seeing how literally no other category at the bottom has a source. This isn't "vandalism" I'm just categorizing songs by their genre. And yeah, I might've gotten a few wrong, but so what? Just change those. Besides, you shouldn't need a source just for a genre, most of those already listed "pop punk" as a genre, and if it didn't, just listen to the song and decide then. You didn't have to go reverse all of what I did and write it off as "disruptive." Like, what did I do that was disruptive? This makes absolutely no sense. -TaxiAlbinoBeaver.
- Please see this policy. Then see WP:CATV in which the same applies but in regards to categories. Feel free to add back those that are reliably sourced, though there are not many. Yes, these rules apply to genres and categories and mass adding cats that fail WP:CATV is disruptive as someone has to clean up after you which I did for about half your edits. I never accused you of vandalism btw. This is not personal, please don't take it that way. Robvanvee 14:57, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
