Adminship

Hi. If you are still interested in offering to serve as an admin, I would support that. If you are, it might be wise to give some thought as to timing. You'll need to identify a week when you can give your full attention and energy to the process. Best regards, --John 20:16, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I agree. I think John and I have given you about all we can, the rest has to come from within... give that some thought based on what we've said and shared and pointed you at, and then let either of us know about the timing. We can do the nomination for you if you want, or if you have someone else in mind that's fine too. ++Lar: t/c 05:45, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

I've finished my co-nom. Sorry it's on the short side (and no lovely footnotes like Lar did) but I think together with Lar's excellent work there it is fit for purpose. Please let me know when you go live, so to speak. Good luck. --John (talk) 03:05, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Good luck! Rudget.talk 13:43, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Unknown-importance Engineering articles, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Unknown-importance Engineering articles has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Unknown-importance Engineering articles, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hi. I realised that you reverted my edit to St Pancras station where I put the former services section in the history section to separate it from the Domestic services section. I am not disputing this move but can I ask you to provide a reason for your doing so. Thanks. Tbo 157(talk) 20:26, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

I was trying to let the comple history of the Domestic services flow through from opening of the station through to current date. I felt that the split hindered the flow, especially as the Thameslink section provided both historical info (from the opening of Snow Hill, through the dewiring and total ceasation of service, through to the use of the temporary station. It should be noted that I am still not totally content with the flow and the lack of detail from the LMS and BR(LMR) eras.
Another part of this has been as a result of a bugbear of mine when I see historical info being removed when services and/or franchises change - in the case of major stations especially. St Pancras (and for that matter Glasgow Central - my local "main line" station) shows what can be done, although in the case of St Pancras I would like to see more on the Woolwich line and other discontinued local services. --Stewart (talk) 20:43, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Your RFA was successful

Congratulations, I have closed your RfA as successful and you are now a sysop! If you have any questions about adminship, feel free to ask me. Please consider messaging me on IRC for access to the #wikipedia-en-admins channel. Good luck! --Deskana (talk) 13:41, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

  • Congratulations on becoming a new admin! To learn a little about how to work your new tools, check out the New admin school. To display on your user page how long you have been an admin, just post the userbox string: {{User:EVula/Userboxes/admin since|year=2007|month=11|day=25}} Best! -- Jreferee t/c 14:18, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the information on the new admin school. Tbo 157(talk) 16:13, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Congrats and you are welcome. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 16:24, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations! Please don't hesitate to ask for advice or counsel if you ever feel you need some, or even just a sympathetic ear. I don't see the coaching relationship as ending when the RfA is passed, unless you want it to. Oh, and yes, you can move things around on the coaching pages to show you've completed things now, if you want :) ++Lar: t/c 20:28, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the message and for the coaching. You are a user I can always trust and rely on in times of need. Thanks for everything. Tbo 157(talk) 20:34, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Hearty congratulations! Please let me know if I can ever be of any assistance. --John (talk) 20:38, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations on your successful request for adminship. I am glad you passed, and you are welcome for the support. For information on using your new tools, see the school for new admins; you will find it very useful. Good luck! Acalamari 16:28, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I like the shirt. Tbo 157(talk) 16:31, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, well done from me too. Good luck with the tools. Don't hesitate to shout should you need any pointers... The Rambling Man (talk) 17:12, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Nice job!   jj137 (Talk) 20:01, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Your RfA Thanks

I believe you have some coding problems. If I'm correct, you are missing four </div> tags. Without them, everything else added to the talk page below it will appear in the card, e.g. User talk:Mailer Diablo. You should fix this. I (talk) 17:33, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

This was A7'ed, and I don't know why; the article cited charting singles, which meets WP:MUSIC. Can you please restore it? Chubbles (talk) 22:26, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

I have asked for review at WP:DRV. Chubbles (talk) 16:45, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. Chubbles (talk) 23:31, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

The O2

No problems thanks for letting me know, I removed it the second time as it was re added without comment I think, if it's the norm then fair enough. Personally I don't think it helps any of the articles to have a list like that, hence why I suggested it be formed into a separate article on the talk page. --Nate1481( t/c) 08:56, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Can You Help?...

Hey Tbo,

Just wondered if you could help us with the design of our 'Workforces' over at Train Spotting World. Your great work at WP:LT has made me think of you!

Please let me know here or there (identical username!)
