Welcome[edit]

Hello, Teamforde2 and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Lingzhi ♦ (talk) 07:47, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Teamforde2: I've reverted your changes to Robert Forde. Don't worry, they are not permanently lost - click on the "history" tab to see a list of changes, and click on "diff" to see each individual change, in side-by-side highlighted versions. I also see you have drafted material in your Sandbox.

Your changes to the text introduced unfinished, repeated material, and your list of sources included Wikipedia itself, and a blog. Both are no-nos: we link to other Wikipedia articles through wikilinks (which I see you using), and we don't use blogs unless they are official blogs of newspapers, museums, and other institutions which can be presumed to have vetted them. The applicable policy is WP:Reliable sources.) We also don't link simply to searches - the reader cannot reproduce these precisely and if they could, they would not know which results you meant to refer to. The Irish Post article looks good, though - please make it a footnote (using <ref></ref> tags or whatever the Visual Editor uses to create footnotes) and identify the day and month as well as the year.

You should also use the "preview" button. In addition to the repeated material, your edit had a number of "nowiki" tags, which indented the reference sources in a box. This is sometimes a result of using the Visual Editor, which is kind of broken - but in any case, preview before saving to see what you are going to get :-)

Thanks for the effort; the article could certainly use more sources and more information. Yngvadottir (talk) 12:58, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop moving pages around at random. It creates a big mess that only admins can fix. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 16:59, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
