[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Steve Aiken, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
See guidance at MOS:CREDENTIAL, we don't use "Dr". Kathleen's bike (talk) 12:17, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you.
Again See guidance at MOS:CREDENTIAL, we don't use post-nominals for degrees. Kathleen's bike (talk) 12:45, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Kathleen's bike (talk) 15:15, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- Your threatening language is not appreciated. No disruptive, inapproprivate or hard-to-read formatting has been used. Corrections have been made to correct FACTUALLY incorrect information posted on this page by you and others. Will consider reporting your threats if they continue, even if you are a .bot. Tellmema321 (talk) 10:01, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- The warnings are appropriate for your continued disregard for [[MOS:CREDENTIAL[[. Since you apparently have failed to read it, it says "Post-nominal letters for academic degrees following the subject's name (such as Steve Jones, PhD; Margaret Doe, JD) may occasionally be used within an article where the person with the degree is not the subject, to clarify that person's qualifications with regard to some part of the article, though this is usually better explained in descriptive wording. Avoid this practice otherwise." Thus, it does not get added to Steve Aiken's article. Kathleen's bike (talk) 10:12, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- Similarly the title Commander is not appropriate as the person is Retired. Please update to be Retired, Royal Navy. Tellmema321 (talk) 10:34, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
