What a Brilliant Idea Barnstar
To Stephane (Kiwix), thank you for developing the Wikimed app, making Wikipedia's medical content accessible to even more people. Axl ¤ [Talk] 10:19, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey no problem. To answer quickly:
  1. Yes we're planning on making apps in other languages
  2. It's hard to single out Nintendo, but we're sure looking at video games and sports
Cheers, Stephane (Kiwix) (talk) 18:24, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

why make Nintendo is hard — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amirh123 (talkcontribs) 07:12, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In short, we need to have a nintendo project whose work we can rely on with article tagging (categories do not work). But we'll look it up. Stephane (Kiwix) (talk) 09:22, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

new idea

[edit]

hi I have new idea 1wikipedia countries example Wikipedia iran all articles about iran or Wikipedia usa all articles about usa 2 Wikipedia biography biography of all peoples on Wikipedia thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amirh123 (talkcontribs) 07:14, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We've tried country-specific zim files and people weren't actually very interested, suprisingly. As for biographies, there's a little under a million of them on Wikipedia, that's a lot. We'll start with a History app, there should already be quite a few people in there. Stephane (Kiwix) (talk) 09:25, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
PS: on a side note, I saw that you opened a bunch of request on our GitHub, which is a good idea as long as you do the following (otherwise you'll just give my friend Kelson a lot of work for no result): give the name of the content you are looking for, a link to that website, and check beforehand if it is under copyright or free license (e.g. Creative Commons, like Wikipedia). If it is not under a free license, then we won't be able to make a copy... as it is plain and simple illegal :-(
Also tell us why you think this is a good idea (maybe they have lots of users, which means that there's demand, or you think they're the best resource, or it should be easier to offline as it is a wiki, etc.) Whatever makes you think this is a good idea. We have limited resources and need to make choices, so any help is good help.
