You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Theprmg1/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.againstprostatecancer.org/about/leadership-board/#:~:text=In%20November%20of%202005,%20Congressman,and%20reflexology%20to%20overcome%20cancer. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello. I saw that you said that your client, Lorraine Pace, had given you permission to post this information on Wikipedia. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on how that can occur. However, even if those instructions are followed, I would have to advise you that Wikipedia is not the place to promote people or organisations – even if the information can be copied over from a legal perspective does not mean it should be, as Wikipedia has many content policies, including notability and a neutral point of view. The fact that you are a paid editor also means that you have certain obligations on this website. I hope that those links are helpful. Sdrqaz (talk) 15:21, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Would it just be better if I re-wrote the entire article? Theprmg1 (talk) 15:26, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it certainly would.
First you must declare your conflict of interest (COI), however. I will post a message below with more information. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:37, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. It doesn't seem that writing about a client is allowed by Wikipedia then. What would be my best option to get this article posted? Also, is there anything I need to do to prevent my account from being deleted? Theprmg1 (talk) 15:55, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are allowed to write about a client (or other subject where you have a COI), but you need to be open about it and disclose the relationship.
User accounts are not (in fact, cannot be, AFAIK) deleted. Your account may get blocked, however, for serious and/or persistent violations of T&Cs of use, which could include COI editing without appropriate disclosure. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:01, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Theprmg1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:37, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
