Attack on Pearl Harbor

[edit]

Let's discuss that edit on the talk page. Adding "of Axis powers" to mentions of the Japanese navy doesn't seem particularly useful, so I've reverted it for the meantime. Tarl N. (discuss) 22:28, 27 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for my added 'Axis powers' on Atrack at Pearl Harbour

Hi there. The reason I added the Axis Powers fact, Japan --the attacker-- being a member of, to contrast with what has been being said that the US --the victim-- was still neutral at the time. Thanks.Thhings6sz (talk) 00:07, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss this on the article's talk page, I have already started a section. Basically, it's added verbiage to no point. You could endlessly qualify every possible description in any sentence, but all that does is make it harder to read. The knowledge of Japan being part of the axis is presumed for anyone reading about a specific WW-II attack, no need to add it to the summary and lede. Tarl N.
