License tagging for Image:Great&LittleHansLollik.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Great&LittleHansLollik.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:08, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Hans Lollik Island

[edit]

The article looks very good. do you think you could add your sources to it? It'd then make a fine candidate for the Did You Know? Main Page feature.Circeus 16:26, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thx for comment. I'll add to this article over the next few weeks... and, I am the principal source for the material cited. Also, I own the image uploaded, and freely give the right to wiki and anyone else to use it and publish it, etc.

A tag has been placed on Learned intermediary doctrine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This article appears to be an essay without sources, cannot be verified, may be copied from another source, and is not written in an encyclopedic tone. It may be promotional in nature on behalf of the author.

Please note -- this is distinctly not promotional in nature.. I have no business whatsoever that has any relationship to the Learned Intermediary Doctrine. As for citations, it is extensively and explicitly cited. The balance is my original work. I will rewrite it a bit to have a more encylopedic tone, but offer it to the community because I value the Wkipedia and use it frequently. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 17:44, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed speedy deletion tag on Learned intermediary doctrine

[edit]

Please see the article talk page, Talk:Learned intermediary doctrine, for discussion, and feel free to take a look at Wikipedia's Help pages for assistance in editing the article into a format more in keeping with Wikipedia's style, formatting, references, etc. (For example, we need to cite accessible, published, secondary sources like practice books, law journals, etc., rather than citing directly to case authorities.) I have also added "cleanup" tags asking other editors to help with the project. Thank you for your contribution, and I apologize that it was misunderstood by another editor who thought it might be copied without permission from another work. Happy editing, --MCB 21:30, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thx

[edit]

MCB -- thx for the help! it may take me a bit of time to deliver wiki in style, but i'll try to whip this into shape. overall, wikipedia is terrific... a grand experiment Tizes 06:12, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Telishment. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. WLU 19:12, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i was under the (apparently mistaken) notion that having corrected the problem, it was correct to remove the note. my apologies. Tizes 22:59, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, that'll be settled at the AFD discussion. Note that AFD does not mean it will automatically be deleted, just that there will be a discussion. Generally the discussions are a also a useful source of information to improve the page. Given the topic of the page, you may want to look into WP:Notability and WP:notability (people). Also, you can continue editing the page while it is up for deletion, addressing the comments made by the people involved. FInal point - you are usually better off replying on people's talk pages than on your own. If I wasn't watching this page automatically, I would have missed your comment. Fair use rationale for Image:YouAreAlone.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:YouAreAlone.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 17:59, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:DebatingRobertLee.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:DebatingRobertLee.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Proposed deletion of Hans Lollik Island

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hans Lollik Island, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Orphaned non-free media (Image:YouAreAlone.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:YouAreAlone.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:04, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
