January 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Christine Maggiore appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Verbal chat 11:39, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Tm1947, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Verbal chat 11:40, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Christine Maggiore. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Verbal chat 11:47, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AIDS "rethinking"[edit]

I think you probably know that there's no support to change the term AIDS denialism to "AIDS rethinking". You've brought this up a few times now, and gotten the same response every time. I agree that some of the language in Henry H. Bauer could be softened a bit, and its tone made more encyclopedic. But I don't think your edits are necessarily a step in the right direction, since they seem not to be based on any actual reliable sources and additionally seem aimed at legitimizing AIDS-denialist claims. If you're interested, it's probably best to discuss changes on the talk page, since history suggests that a number of editors are likely to find your edits problematic. Kary Mullis edits - Dec 2012/Jan 2013[edit]

Your edits to Kary Mullis, particularly the comments about Seth Kalichman, are completely inappropriate for inclusion in the article. (I refer to this and this). I have removed them as another editor did before me. If you feel the article is unfairly skewed in one way or another, by all means please bring it up on the talk page for that article. You will need to cite some sources and it helps to understand the rules by which Wikipedia operates. I would especially point out the rules on reliable sources, neutral point of view and the rules on biographies of living persons. Please do not persist in simply jamming these edits into the article, please follow the rules and guidelines. Thank you. Krelnik (talk) 22:15, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for serious violations of this site's policy on biographical material. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  MastCell Talk 22:28, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
