Your note

I'm working on it. Crum375 14:54, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Tulkolahten, can you do some investigation for me? It is unclear to me how a passenger would know what actions the captain took while landing the aircraft. Also, according to ASN there was a highly unstabilized ILS approach into Bratislava, which seems to indicate crew confusion and lack of preparation during the approach (an ILS approach starts about 5 miles from the runway) - it is very unclear to me how that is related to the captain trying to land elsewhere. Thanks for any help you can provide. Crum375 15:25, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, clearly there is a big conflict here about the 'engine fire'. It is very possible, if this is just a non-pilot passenger reporting it, that he was referring to the application in-flight of reverse thrust which caused the engine to fail - it is possible for flames to show in that case. It would be nice if we could get some more sources for this, as it sounds highly dubious and unreliable. Crum375 15:39, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Re the lake being closed, it doesn't tell us if there was anything beyond the official report. If you have the original Soviet report, that would help. Crum375 15:41, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

I understand fully that this is just a passenger's report. But we still need to decide how to include it, if at all. I tend to think we do, since even if he said "I saw angels flying next to us just before the crash" it could be considered notable if published, so the issue is only to know all we can about it. Crum375 15:44, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Is this source useful? Crum375 00:46, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Do you think it's possible to translate it to EN, e.g. using an automatic CZ-EN translator, with some fixing? I've had a hard time trying to do it. Crum375 12:20, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! That would be great. If you could do it in your Sandbox temporarily, we can decide how to handle it later. Thanks again, Crum375 12:26, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Are you still planning to do the translation? If not can you please let me know? Thanks, Crum375 19:35, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

No problem, I understand you were busy. Are you still planning to do it? If so let me know. Thanks, Crum375 23:03, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Author of the image above gave a permission to publish it on wikipedia. I am confused which license-tag should I use ? Please give me some light, thanks. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 21:53, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, are you sure the author understands which license he is allowing, then? Xiner (talk, email) 22:11, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Just use {{pd-self}} this tag as it wont create any fuss and the author has granted your permission so if you want just mention him in the picture summary. Dep. Garcia ( Talk | Help Desk | Complaints ) 22:20, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

There you go, minimal effort and minimal fuss. if u have any more problems, please contact me.

German names

Sure it is not an official name, nor are all variants in Hrodna article for example. As you probably know Czech lands were under Austrian Empire and all municipalities beared German names, also 1/3 of territory's population were the Germans so it is certainly historically important to have it here. Otherwise, why haven't you removed Polish variants? Sorry but this smells with Anti-Germanism. - Darwinek 14:54, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

LOL. So article about some historically German town in e.g. Okres Bruntál should hasn't have its German variant only because it is no longer in Germany and all local Germans were expelled? :)) Btw Polish variants in articles about Czech villages aren't here because the proximity of borders, strong Polish community live there, for your information.
You twist WP policies in that issue. Important cities with many names (like Vilnius) haven't other language variants in their articles. They are in special article. In smaller towns and villages there is recommended to include other lang variants. And this is NPOV. - Darwinek 15:07, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
No problem. You can turn to me, I am an Administrator. - Darwinek 15:29, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
I think we should resolve it between our persons. There seems to be no strong and clear official policy on that and starting the wide discussion could result in long and neverending heated discussion. Btw. můžeme se bavit i česky, když umíš. :) - Darwinek 15:40, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
No můj argument je etnický. - Darwinek 15:49, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
You recently made a comment at my Complaints Department, although that is were complaints about what I have done wrong goes, you deleted the comment and thats OK. But the comment you made about German names in Czech villages appears to be sorted with other users above. If you need anymore help contact me using the appropriate means.

All is OK Garcia, thanks. I was a little bit too fast in moving than in thinking. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 18:03, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Bleach: Memories of Nobody

Gladly. 41.204.243.2 is just one of many socks of SummerThunder. This user simply travels the recent contributions of the users who have reverted him and undoes whatever they've done. Just check his other contributions. His edits are only meant to be disruptive. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 00:30, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Having had to revert such nonsense repeatedly, I keep forgetting to tag his talk page. There's also the annoying fact that he usually ditches the IP after a single string of reverts. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 00:37, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Collections for Research into Sudeten German Minority

Hi Tulkolahten,

User:Dr. Steller has asked me in German to protest against the deletion of that article in her name, because she does not speak English very well. I realize this is all standard procedure, but she claims an article should not be deleted that quickly.--Carabinieri 20:36, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Hallo, Tulkolahten,

wäre gut, diese rassistische Privatkrieg gegen unserer Sammlung zu beenden. Danke. --Dr. Steller [[User talk:Dr. Steller|e-mail]] 20:00, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I have troubles seconding article above. I am not able to put {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Collections for Research into Sudeten German Minority (2nd)}} into log. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 20:00, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

All is ok, Dr.Steller has vandalised that page. ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 20:05, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Closing AfD

Who is allowed to close AfD please ? Is it an administrator only ? ≈Tulkolahten≈≈talk≈ 22:47, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Non-administrators can close them when the result is obviously keep, but you should be careful about it. Otherwise, only admins, yes. -Amarkov blahedits 22:49, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Tulk, I feel unformfortable that you are rummaging into my past edits, and wonder if you have some sort of agenda. The Matt Cutts article was an obvious keep, and I was certainly allowed to close it. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 23:38, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind remarks. I also consider this closed. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 23:43, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
