Hello Jared - thank you for your advice, this is the proposed update to the information on Soaplife. The other amends I have made are factual, so advising of a change in editor and correcting ABC figures. is this ok?

Do i need to update my user name?

Thanks Clare (Tvupdates (talk) 15:40, 9 January 2017 (UTC))[reply]

New copy:

Soaplife is a fortnightly UK magazine, published every other Tuesday by Time Inc UK (formerly IPC Media), and its offices are based at 161 Marsh Wall on the Isle of Dogs in London.

The magazine covers the big stories in EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, and it also features news about Hollyoaks, Neighbours, and Home and Away. The title also boasts a soap listings guide, three pages of TV and a puzzles section.

History and profile The magazine was launched in 1999 as a one-off to tie in with the British Soap Awards when its sister TV listings title, What’s on TV, did not have enough space to print all the backstage pictures. Its selling figures were impressive and it quickly established itself as a monthly title shortly afterwards.

In 2003, under editor Hellen Gardner, Soaplife increased its frequency and it became a fortnightly magazine.

The title is now edited by Paul Brooks, with deputy editor Alison Gardner, art editor Brian Hawthorne and picture editor Paul Smith.

Soaplife belongs to Time Inc’s family of television magazines, which form the company’s TX group and is overseen by group editor Colin Tough. TX includes What’s on TV, TV & Satellite Week and TV Times.

Exisitng copy:

Soaplife is a fortnightly UK magazine, released on Tuesday by Time Inc. UK (formerly IPC Media). Its headquarters is in London.[2] Storylines of the shows it covers are from soap operas shown in the United Kingdom and from Australia.

Popular soaps featured are EastEnders, Coronation Street, Doctors, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Neighbours and Home and Away.

History and profile

In 1999, the magazine was first launched[2] just for one issue to print pictures from The British Soap Awards as sister TV listings magazine, What's on TV did not have enough space to print all the backstage pictures. Its selling figures were impressive and a second issue came out shortly afterwards. Since the late 1990s, Soaplife has made 145 issues and is the second biggest selling soap opera magazine, behind weekly Inside Soap. Edited by Paul Brookes, it offers backstage news and gossip from GMTV's Tina Baker, advanced storyline hot plots, readers' views and competitions. Soaplife belongs to IPC Media's family of television magazines (now Time Inc. UK), which form the sub-group TX. This includes What's on TV, TV & Satellite Week and TV Times.== Issue == Hey thanks for your invite and I'm happy to think along if you have some issue. However, I'm only in for it when it can fully transparently be dealt with on Wikipedia. If this condition doesn't work for you, you need to find someone else. Otherwise, just send me a link to the discussion that is (probably) already taking place. Marcocapelle (talk) 08:31, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tvupdates, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
