Hi Graham87,

I am a new editor to Wikipedia and would appreciate some guidance rather then being immediately blocked. What promotional content are you referring to? When I opened my account I saw a guide that advised me to start with small edits which is what I did or I thought I was doing. I feel that blocking me is a little rough and unwelcoming. I am happy to learn and continue contributing.

When I opened my account I saw a guide that advised me to start with small edits, therefore I focused on punctuation, linking and adding minor information. Suddenly with no warning at all I found a notice that my account has been blocked. How can that be? Could you please explain what I have done as I've said I'm new at this and would have appreciated guidance rather than being immediately blocked. Could you please unblock me and hopefully give me advice so this wont happen again. My hope is to collaborate productively and make Wikipedia a better source.[reply]

Thank you for explaining. Looking back at the source of the Masada article you linked maybe this source is a better one: https://www.jpost.com/israel-guide/top-tours/masada-a-mountain-of-history-166820. I will change it once I am unblocked. I do not have a specific connection to any of the articles I edited, I was just choosing random subjects of interest to me.
