Amazed that you managed to do so much while still providing reviews for new copy editors. Great work as always! – Reidgreg (talk) 23:47, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Un celebre especialista...[edit]

Replied on my talk page, but in case you don't see it: Sorry dude, didn't know you were ce-ing, thought it was drive-by good faith editing because I know you by username. I didn't know there'd be more edits after, sorry for disrupting, so I felt responsible to clean up where your change of phrasing obscured facts (bc I assume you simply don't know the specifics of the topic, ofc not deliberate) Carry on :) Kingsif (talk) 20:36, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hillary Clinton[edit]

Hi TfT. I have just noticed that this article is currently the fifth largest of the 6,762 Featured Articles - Wikipedia talk:Featured article candidates#Largest FAs by prose size. Thanks very much for taking it on anyway. (As a non-American I hesitated to tackle it myself, as I felt that I was all but certain to miss nuances.) Gog the Mild (talk) 13:25, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Gog the Mild: You're very welcome. When I finished the c/e I was left wondering (again) why anyone in their right mind would ever run for elected office! Twofingered Typist (talk) 14:00, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. I am involved in a minor way in (very) local politics. I am repeatedly asked why I don't stand for (minor) office. If you have to ask the question ... Gog the Mild (talk) 14:03, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Taylor Swift[edit]

Before you go ahead, and only link all the sources websites in select sections, we generally only link them on their first occurrence to avoid over-linking. FrB.TG (talk) 20:12, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@FrB.TG: Not that I disagree with you, but I was told some time ago all citations could be linked for readers' convenience. Are links in citations specified somewhere in the MOS? I've never found it. A majority of sources in this article had already been linked more than once before I began this copy edit for its TFA appearance. Please let me know. Given your experience with FAs, I'll abide by your suggestion. Thanks! Twofingered Typist (talk) 20:27, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you plan to link all the sources in the article, I am fine by it, which is what you are trying to do I think. FrB.TG (talk) 04:20, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stop removing unnecessary geo links![edit]

Can you STOP removing unnecessary geographic links?! It's just like you DID at KEYT-TV:

KEYT-TV is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Santa Barbara, California, United States and serving the Central Coast of California. It broadcasts a High-definition television digital signal on Ultra high frequency (UHF) channel 27 (or virtual channel 3 via Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP) from a transmitter atop Broadcast Peak, between Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez, California, in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Owned by News-Press & Gazette Company, KEYT is a sister station to low-powered, Class A Fox affiliate KKFX-CD (channel 24). NPG also operates Santa Maria, California-licensed CBS affiliate KCOY-TV (channel 12) through a shared services agreement with owner VistaWest Media, LLC. KEYT's studios are located at 730 Miramonte Drive on TV Hill, overlooking downtown Santa Barbara; KCOY and KKFX share separate facilities on West McCoy Lane in Santa Maria.

PLEASE stop doing those things. >:( CentralTime301 (talk) 01:42, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@CentralTime301: I have no idea what you're talking about. I did a copy edit a YEAR ago and haven't looked at the article since then!! There is absolutely no need to link United States or even California for that matter in the first sentence. The only link a reader might possibly click on is Santa Barbara, California. This article is properly linked IMO. Oh, and spare me the CAPS and exclamation marks, thanks! (Wikipedia:Ownership of articles.) Twofingered Typist (talk) 11:05, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I understand! CentralTime301 (talk) 13:36, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copy-edit request[edit]

Hello again! I hope you are having a good weekend so far. Apologies for asking for a copy-edit as I am sure you are already busy. I have recently failed a GAN for Atsushi Nakajima (Bungo Stray Dogs) because I found several issues with the prose. I was wondering if you could possibly look through the article if you had the time. I completely understand if you would prefer not to do so, but I always feel bad about failing a GAN so I wanted to try and help. Aoba47 (talk) 17:02, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoba47: I'll have a look at this for you. This is not a subject I know a thing about, but I'll see if there's anything I can do to help out. Twofingered Typist (talk) 19:26, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, and apologies again for the randomness of the request. I know copy-edit requests are discouraged outside of the GOCE, but I just wanted to try and help the nominator as much as possible. Aoba47 (talk) 19:39, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
