Hi, could you copyedit the plot section of this film article? I tried myself but was not satisfied with my language proficiency, so I discarded the attempt. No hurry, please consider this only after finishing your existing commitments. 2409:4073:1F:9B06:CC35:F659:1B4C:21FB (talk) 08:23, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, although I was able to edit the first paragraph much of the rest of the article is incomprehensible. Someone who has seen the movie needs to fix this. Twofingered Typist (talk) 15:33, 16 February 2020 (UTC)

A Request[edit]

Hello Twofingered, can you please check the article Gargi College molestations, a user keeping tags of copyright and close paraphrasing in the article, while hardly any coyvio or CLOP is there. (the copyvio presnt in the Aftermath section which I accept and is tagged properly) The user citing small phrases for the tag, if that is the case I think except GA and FA every articles most of the wiki articles can be tagged. I have also pointed out the comparisons of the materialsof the article and references. Can you please check and put your comments, whether it justified to keep or remove. Thank you. Dey subrata (talk) 17:00, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Dey subrata: I am very sorry, but you and the user who has suggested there are copyright violations need to work this out between yourselves. I do not have the time or the inclination to read every source and check the article against them. Twofingered Typist (talk) 18:50, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Drepana[edit]

Many thanks for the copy edit on this. Your usual fine job. It should be going up for FAC shortly, once I have a slot. Gog the Mild (talk) 11:43, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Gog the Mild: You're very welcome. My apologies—my notification to you that the c/e was done was put on the wrong talk page!! I'm still chuckling over the chickens and marvelling at the thought of trying to manoeuvre these unwieldy vessels in battle in rough seas! Cheers! Confused by old edits to Peter Green (musician)[edit]

Hi Twofingered Typist. I came across this edit of yours while trying to figure out why nndb.com article archives were used. It was a long time ago, but maybe you have some insight? I can't make sense of it. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 21:24, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hipal: I ran a bot that archived the URLs in case the original pages disappeared from the web.
So the bot messed up big-time? --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 21:35, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hipal: No, it (https://tools.wmflabs.org/iabot/index.php?page=runbotqueue) found archived pages on the Wayback Machine and added those citations to the originals the way it is supposed to. Twofingered Typist (talk) 21:38, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot access that diff. What does it show?
Do you see what I'm confused about? The bot put the same nndb archive in for multiple references. Right? --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 21:40, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hipal: The link I gave you is the bot. The citations look fine to me.

For example: the is an original URL http://www.fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/peter.htm

this is the archived version which includes the original https://web.archive.org/web/20100405092312/http://www.fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/peter.htm

Yes, it got some right.
For the "www.guitarworld.com" ref (http://www.guitarworld.com/article/30_on_30_the_greatest_guitarists_picked_by_the_greatest_guitarists?page=0%2C9) it put the nndb link, https://web.archive.org/web/20100924032543/http://www.nndb.com/people/653/000043524/
It used that same nndb link multiple times, only one of which was to an nndb reference. --Hipal/Ronz (talk) 22:05, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hipal: Sorry, no idea why. Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:20, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
