Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 17:51, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

Hi Vandaso.

  1. I recommend you read, or reread, WP:COI.
  2. Then, after consideration, I recommend that you revert your own edits you made today to the Hyperloop pod competition article. The process on the Talk page is moving along nicely, and I think rLoop can be better represented on the Hpc page very soon.

Lastly, just to be clear, I'm not trying to "own" the page there at Hpc, noone does that on Wikipedia! But I do know that the COI guidelines on Wikipedia have emerged after many years of trial and error and also the development of community standards. Given that I've recently written emails to over 20 Hpc teams in the competition, I suspect it is good if any non-Hpc-involved editors on the page take a standard and balanced approach to COI, and apply it equally to all comers. Cheers. N2e (talk) 22:35, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, I say your comment on my Talk page. Thanks for that.
But just because you are new to Wikipedia and want to learn, normally you should probably just answer any items on the same talk page the discussion was started on. If mine, then I would reply on mine. If your, I would reply on yours. If you don't hear back in a few days, then take additional measures. Cheers. N2e (talk) 04:50, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
