A tag has been placed on Peter Sage, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Victor Shomi. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Peter Sage, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Dom from Paris (talk) 07:50, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Declaration of no COI with Peter Sage[edit]

I declare that I have no COI with Peter Sage but I have seen him in several conferences. If I was paid, why would I have added controversy, but he is clearly notable. Victor Shomi (talk) 15:03, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The controversy section contains information that Sage uses in interviews to promote himself there is nothing negative in there. He is not clearly notable you need to read WP:GNG. Do you mind explaining if you are not a paid editor why you created this article? If the article is identical to those already deleted then you must have got the information from somewhere. August 2018[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Peter Sage, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Dom from Paris (talk) 15:39, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dom from Paris, I have deleted paid tag which is a false allegation. Victor Shomi (talk) 15:44, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You have uploaded a photo of Sage that is clearly a professional portrait claiming that it is your own work. Please make the necessary disclosure about your relationship with the subject. Dom from Paris (talk) 15:49, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have clicked this professional portrait during a seminar and yes this is my own camera as I have declared on the photo details. Victor Shomi (talk) 16:02, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Drue Leyton[edit]

Hello Victor Shomi, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Drue Leyton, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: clearly claims significance. If you are interested in learning more about how speedy deletion works, I have compiled a list of helpful pages at User:SoWhy/SDA. You can of course also contact me if you have questions. Thank you. Speedy deletion declined: Peter Shankman[edit]

Hello Victor Shomi, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Peter Shankman, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: founding a notable website indicates importance. If you are interested in learning more about how speedy deletion works, I have compiled a list of helpful pages at User:SoWhy/SDA. You can of course also contact me if you have questions. Thank you. Sour grapes[edit]

Hi I just wanted you to know that my nomination of the article you created on Peter Sage is in no way personal. You are the second editor to have created and recreated a purely promotional article about a person that does not clearly meet the necessary notability criteria. This could look like either a paid edit or a conflict of interest edit. You say this is not the case but you have what is known as a single purpose account and your only edits have been to promote this person. Immediately nominating the articles I have created for deletion look like a case of WP:Sour grapes and shows that you have not understood why I nominated your creation nor what the criteria for speedy deletion are. Both of these nominations were declined with the following edit summaries

  • "Decline speedy - clearly claims significance"
  • "rvd csd - has reliable sources coverage"

This kind of retaliatory behaviour could be seen as WP:Disruptive and I would advise against it in the future.

That said it is possible that Peter Sage may be notable but the way you wrote the article is a WP:SOAPBOX violation. If you would like to try again you will need to create a draft version either in your sandbox or at Draft:Peter Sage and then contact an administrator to have the protection removed, preferably the one that salted it, User:TomStar81. If you require any help please don't hesitate to contact me as I am a new pages reviewer and an WP:AFC reviewer and may be able to help you. --Dom from Paris (talk) 12:50, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Peter Sage.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Uploaded for Peter Sage. No other use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 14:08, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
