Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Maya Badian, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by ClueBot NG.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Template:LUCIAN BADIAN EDITIONS, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MikeWazowski (talk) 21:36, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Maya Badian[edit]

Hello! There are a number of problems with the text that you keep adding to Maya Badian:

  • Firstly, we take violation of copyright very seriously here at Wikipedia and if, as it appears, your text is copied from a copyrighted work, it cannot be kept here. If it is not from a copyrighted work, where has the content come from?
  • The second problem is that you have removed the article's existing content, so that, for instance, the existing links and references added by other editors have been lost.
  • The third problem is that an encyclopedia article is more than a list of reviews and works. It needs to be written in a style that is accessible to the average reader - reading our guide on writing better articles will give some useful pointers, as will looking at some of our featured articles, such as Witold Lutosławski or Rebecca Clarke (composer). I'm sure you can see that what you've submitted is fundamentally different in style from these.
  • Lastly, we take great care that our articles are written from a neutral point of view, and editors who have a conflict of interest are strongly discouraged from writing about topics in which they are involved.

What you need to do is to work on the article off-line (not here, because of the potential copyright issue); incorporate what's already in the article; and only resubmit it when you've rewritten the content in your own words and in a neutral style.

I've reverted to the previous version of the article once more. I'm happy to discuss this further if required, but please do not add that content again. Thank you,  —SMALLJIM  21:41, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Fred Popovici. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. MikeWazowski (talk) 21:43, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to Maya Badian has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. The text you added was lifted from http://public.onmc-cmno.ca/author/badianm/ MikeWazowski (talk) 21:46, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Maya Badian. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. MikeWazowski (talk) 02:07, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Maya Badian, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. MikeWazowski (talk) 14:56, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently adding promotional information to Maya Badian despite being warned about the consequences of doing so. Your purpose in editing here does not appear to be for the benefit of the encyclopedia, but solely to promote that person. In addition you have made no attempt to discuss the matter with other editors, despite being given the opportunity. As a consequence I have had no alternative but to block you from editing further here, though you do have a right of appeal. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  —SMALLJIM  12:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
