Welcome

[edit]

Welcome. If you want to start an article, please see the Wikipedia:Help Desk for help on articles and Wikipedia's non-notable policy. Mult--drug treatment can be listed in the treatment section of the Leprosy article. Don't create its own article or I will puit it up for deletion. Mrld 20:21, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New article on multidrug therapy

[edit]

OK I will focus on the main leprosy article itself. Please go ahead and delete the article on multidrug therapy. Thanks for the advice.

Wikipedia style

[edit]

Thank you for working on Leprosy, an article which has been identified as needing input from an expert. I'm writing to let you know that Wikipedia has a style guide at Wikipedia:Manual of Style, which gives guidelines on how to make articles follow a consistent house style. Most editors don't start by reading them, though, and other editors just slowly change the article to make it conform. But I thought I'd point out what happened in case you were puzzled about what happened to your recent edit.

You changed the article so it no longer had a lead section; that is, the section before the first subtitle, which should define the terms and summarise the article, with no facts not otherwise repeated in the article (details in Wikipedia:Lead section). The article didn't have a proper lead section before either! Your second subheading, now the first, seemed an ideal place to break.

Keep up the good work! The scientific accuracy has been a special concern in this article. Notinasnaid 20:52, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Table01.svg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Table01.svg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Edit summaries

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Many thanks for your advice and guidance--WHO Leprosy 19:30, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
