Request reason:

My editing is being very constructive. I made Wikipedia account because as I was doing research paper on Africa, I came across something or information that was wrong and fake. I made the changes and editing because I believed and still do it is right. Before I made the changes, I checked other website like the African Union to find a country called "Somaliland, from there I found out, it's just state of Somalia" then I made the changes as I believed the information presented on the page was wrong. I am not here to champion any cause as I have no issue with anything other than the wrong information presented. I was reported by a user called Jacob300 and I am still new and learning how to navigate the website so I could get to talk with him. I sincerely changed these information presented in the website because as history major, I believed it was wrong and misinformation. Also vandalism was being committed on Horn of Africa page and Somalia page before I edited it. I just did the right thing to find because I wanted the right information to be presented. My block was not fair as everything I did is in-line with current situation. I use Wikipedia to find sources, and information daily and I didn't want the site to have wrong information. Thank you Waberi4291 (talk) 02:57, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You(and others) are free to believe what you wish about Somaliland, but Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources state, and they tell about the existence of this entity that considers itself to be a sovereign state, and they tell about how this entity holds elections for what it considers to be its government. Articles correctly state that it is not recognized internationally. This is all allowed and cannot be removed just because you might disagree with it, because that's what sources say. We don't edit based on our personal opinions, but on what independent sources state. You will need to provide sufficient assurance that you will edit based on the content of reliable sources and not your personal views on the matter in order to be unblocked. Since you think what you did was correct, this request does not do that, so I am declining it. 331dot (talk) 08:23, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

It's not up to me any longer, but quite possibly you will need to agree to a topic ban from editing about Somaliland as part of being unblocked. 331dot (talk) 08:25, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How can I agree on topic ban. There is many historical misinformation that I want change. There has to be something else without giving the right to edit. This looks like stifling any opposing ideas. Waberi4291 (talk) 21:59, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
