It looks like Padgett has a page on de.wiki; perhaps you could try translating some portion of it to increase your draft's chances of getting accepted. 78.28.44.111 (talk) 13:09, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

Please help me with... Hi I have three questions: 1. Can you please change Eatly Life to Early Life in Laura J. Padgett? 2. Can you please link the Laura J. Padgett Article with the Peter Zumthor Article regarding the Photographs Laura J. Padgett made for Thinking Architecture? [1] "In Thinking Architecture Peter Zumthor expresses his motivation in designing buildings that have an emotional connection and possess a powerful and unmistakable presence and personality. It is illustrated throughout with color photographs by Laura Padgett of Zumthor's new home and studio in Haldenstein. " 3. May I add an image of Padgett's work? Wi en.Pa (talk) 15:40, 7 September 2020 (UTC) Wi en.Pa (talk) 15:40, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: fixed the heading typo and added the wikilink. Leaving the help request open for someone more confident in their knowledge of fair use (or requesting copyright permissions). Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 16:10, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

References

As for you adding photos by Padgett, that would likely be a copyright violation. If the copyright holder, presumably Padgett, agreed to license the photos with a license compatible with Wikipedia's licensing, she could upload those photos to Wikimedia Commons. There are tutorial instructions for doing this at: Commons:First steps. Once uploaded and properly licensed, it would be possible to use them in the article, just as you would use any other image from Commons. But whoever does this needs to be fully aware of the very broad set of usages that a Wikipedia-compatible license would allow.
Given that Padgett holds the copyright to the photos you wish to use, and only photos by Padgett will suit your illustration needs, I do not see any way that there could be a successful fair use justification. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 03:35, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

Please help me with... Thank you very much for your assistance with the article on Laura J. Padgett Is it possible to remove the orphan tag now, even thought there is only one Wiki link to the Peter Zumthor article? I will look for other possible links. Thank you. I see now what you mean about copyright problems. Even if I ask the artist, there is no way to have proof that she has agreed. Thanks again Wi en.Pa (talk) 13:42, 8 September 2020 (UTC) (Wi_en.Pa) Wi en.Pa (talk) 13:42, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Padgett can email us (instructions linked in previous section), but we only accept media that allow for commercial reuse. Considering that she earns a living from her work, it's quite unlikely she would release her work under those terms, so we can't use it.
