- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}

- Hi, I added all the available articles on Mask Blocs in the submission. Is there anything else I can do to get the Mask Bloc page accepted or is it impossible without more articles being written about Mask Blocs? Most subjects on Disability Justice are ignored by the public and are extremely difficult to get any journalists to write about. Wikibobdobbs (talk) 23:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- Looking at the current article, it's highly unlikely the draft would be accepted. More journalists (or other independent, reliable sources, such as academic presses) would need to cover them for them to qualify for an article. Sincerely, Novo Tape (She/Her)My Talk Page 16:46, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I added another source that describes what a Mask Bloc is and I rewrote sections of the Mask Bloc page so hopefully it is enough to be accepted. Do you think I should include a History section on Blocs as a way to give more information about the concept? Wikibobdobbs (talk) 02:42, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late response, but I've been inactive. I'd recommend adding info about the history if you can find a source detailing it because the draft is currently very sparse. Sincerely, Novo TapeMy Talk Page 17:02, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, do you know how the Mask Bloc article can be made without it being removed again. It was deleted by someone Wikibobdobbs (talk) 21:42, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
- Wikibobdobbs Sorry for the late reply but I've been largely inactive with work. I'm afraid recreating it won't be possible. If it was deleted, that means the consensus was that it is not notable. To overturn such a closure, mask blocs would need to meet a criterion listed here.
1. if someone believes the closer of a deletion discussion interpreted the consensus incorrectly;
2. if a speedy deletion was done outside of the criteria or is otherwise disputed;
3. if significant new information has come to light since a deletion that would justify recreating the deleted page;
4. if a page has been wrongly deleted with no way to tell what exactly was deleted; or
5. if there were substantial procedural errors in the deletion discussion or speedy deletion.
- In my opinion 1 does not apply because the closer's judgement was correct.
- 2 is inapplicable because this was a normal, not a speedy, deletion.
- The fourth reason does not apply because it's quite clear what the scope of the article was and the sources used were largely duplicated in the discussion.
- There were no errors so 5 does not apply.
- Criterion 3 may change as more news sources are published, but, given that most outlets and people have moved on from Covid, I strongly suspect this won't change.
- Please let me know if you have any questions. Sincerely, Dilettante 15:52, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
