Orphaned non-free media (File:GetGoDM Screenshot.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:GetGoDM Screenshot.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
re:deletion?
[edit]Hey, refering to your article and it's subsiquent requested deletion, wikipedia has some policies about writing articles, some of these are general curtosies, whilst others are hard set rules:
- Writing about yourself, your company - or any other thing you have an intrest in, is considered a Conflict of Interest.
- Not every product is notible, to take the examples you gave:
- Free Download Manager has received a major award
- GetRight has been nominated for deletion - however it was closed as "no concensus"
- Orbit Downloader has again, got major awards.
For more information, contact me - please have a look at our policies on:
- Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not
- Wikipedia:List of policies
- Wikipedia:G11 - Deletion criteria: Blatent advertising
Remember, if something is notible - then chances are someone else will write an article about it. RT | Talk 22:56, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
