Hello, Willambrose. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Maggie Dent".

Managing a conflict of interest

Maggie Dent moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Maggie Dent, does not have enough evidence for notability as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources, not from the author itself, and not just mentions or press releases or interviews with the author. The notability would probably depend upon the books. You needto give a fuller listing, indicating the publisher and date and any coauthors; use worldcat, not Amazon, to reference them. . Then, make a references to substantial book reviews published references in third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or . I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guidelines and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

Thank you User:DGG. From your explanation I can see that this article is not quite ready to for the mainspace. IMHO this is a noteworthy subject. I appreciate you highlighting the difference between press releases and independent sources. I feel that some sources included in the article are the latter but contributions from other editors would improve this.
Further, I must state my COI. Due to the fact I genuinely feel this article has merit - the subject regularly appearing in the media and with a number of published works - I went ahead and drafted the article. I have endeavoured to create an unbiased draft however, I do work for Maggie Dent. Maybe the best plan is to invite reviews so that any interested editors can clean the article up? --Willambrose (talk) 01:26, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The tone in the article you originally published was, to say the least, excessively promotional. This is why COI editing can be a problem because you considered that you had created an unbiased article but it most certainly wasn't. I had to take a hatchet to it. I would suggest you try and clean it further and then submit it. Please remember that once it has been accepted as it probably will you must not directly edit the article and make WP:Edit requests on the talk page.
