Hello all. I have added a wikipedia page for a TV show called ZAFARI. All information on the page (currently) is true and can be verified on independent sites (such as IMDB.com). the show is listed on network sites like TinyPOP.com (UK), FranceTV, and more.

Yet many of the Wikipedia volunteers/admins seem feel it is not enough external references and they have marked the page for deletion. If TV networks listing the show and IMDB.com listing the show is not enough, what will work and allow the page to not be marked for deletion?

Thank you

Hold your horses! Nobody has put the page up for deletion yet. They are just warnings at this point.
These warnings are telling you that you have not been bringing the right sort of references to bear. IMDB and TV listings cannot be used to establish notability and that's the hurdle you have to overcome for the article to remain on Wikipedia. A few in-depth reviews of the show in more general audience publications (with editorial control and a reputation for fact checking) would be ideal. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 19:04, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thank you for the response. I admit that I must have misunderstood Wikipedia. The show is being distributed worldwide by NBCUniversal and is on many major networks including the state owned broadcaster in France. It even has a wikipedia page in Hungarian. But I guess that isn't enough to achieve 'notability' in the eyes of Wikipedia in the US. And 4 year olds don't really review TV shows online. So I guess that will take a long time.

To me, it was important that Wikipedia have accurate and up-to-date information for the show as I wanted it to be a place where people go learn about it. But I will let Wikipedia handle this however it wants to.

thx
