You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 19:13, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I've been working on this page to get it ready to post and replace the old version for like a year and a half (I originally had the code just in google docs), it's a lot of work and I still have a lot to do but I've been focusing on making small fixes to what I already have before working on finishing the rest. This has been a passion project of mine that people who know me online know about and I obviously can't post an unfinished page. I'm not really sure what I've done wrong.

Accept reason:

This account remains blocked, but the user will be editing with their earlier account. See block log and discussion below for more information. Bbb23 (talk) 00:44, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The constructive edits I'd make are first of all, the article I'd been working on for a year and a half in my sandbox. I also used to be on Wikipedia in high school as User:Glacialfox and would be interested in patrolling edits again eventually.

I've converted your second unblock request into a comment. You can have only one unblock request at a time.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:11, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that and thanks -- Xiaoaishiteru (talk) 01:12, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I also tried appealing on UTRS. This is what I wrote there: I was blocked indefinitely suddenly for the reason of being "Clearly not here to build an encyclopedia". I have been using this account to work on rebuilding a page "Kenichi Maeyamada production discography" as a passion project that has been in progress for a year and a half now. In the beginning it was on Google Docs but I later moved it over to my Sandbox where I've been working on it on and off. I kinda hit a wall with it recently so I decided to edit small details and errors and hone what was already there before adding more to it. My guess is I was blocked for the "Editing only in user space - The user is only interested in editing their own user space or in draft space with no sign of making the draft live." reason but it said right at the top of my sandbox that it was a rewrite of a preexisting article. My sandbox has also now been deleted by an admin. There's obviously no way I can post my work until it's completely finished and it's a huge job that I've already poured countless hours into and don't see the end of yet. I feel like it should have been understood that it was still a work in progress especially since I also had a to-do list on it. Xiaoaishiteru (talk) 01:30, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What could have potentially given the impression that I had some sort of ulterior motive is that I'd have to update what I had whenever new releases came out and add it to my table, so it could have looked like I was just keeping it as a collection of releases that I was personally keeping updated as something came out due to many edits of me adding recent songs. However, I just wanted to post the most up to date version possible when it's done and it's really just been taking me so long that there's been a lot of new releases in that time and I find those easy to add. Sorry to keep adding so many comments, this article is just really important to me and I'd be devastated if I was never able to finish and finally post the results of my hard work. Xiaoaishiteru (talk)

I have the following questions for you:

  1. Why did you create a new account rather than edit with Glacialfox?
  2. Why does the Glacialfox userpage say they've been editing for over 11 years when it was more like 5 years?
  3. Given how long it's taken you to create a discography - and you admit that it's not really even close to being done - why didn't you just do everything with Google Docs as you were doing and then simply update the singer's article?
  4. This has been a passion project of mine that people who know me online know about This statement makes me cringe. First, generally a passion project is more aligned with the user's interests than Wikipedia's. Second, Wikipedia is not a social media platform, and whether your online friends are aware of this project or not is completely irrelevant to Wikipedia. Perhaps you can address these concerns?

If you answer the above questions, please do so below - do not imbed your answers in the list. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:44, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

1. I just decided to start over on a new account that wasn't connected to an account I had as a teenager that was probably embarrassing to look back on and hadn't touched in years and start fresh. I never got into any trouble on that account, I was just like 15/16 years old.
2. My Glacialfox account first started editing in 2011 and made its last edit in 2016. However, from 2011 to 2022 is 11 years and the userbox just automatically updates how many years the account has existed.
3. I originally just had a bunch of Wikipedia code in a bunch of Google docs that I couldn't actually see the appearance of. Moving what I had done already over to Wikipedia gave me a chance to see how it looked when the code was actually put into Wikipedia, fix any errors in the code that appeared, combine different documents while still being able to edit sections, and use various Wikipedia features to make what I had better. I also didn't expect it to take this long. I'm not sure how it could be a problem to use my Sandbox as intended.
4. My personal interest is making sure that Wikipedia has an up to date and accurate collection of information on a topic I care about instead of what's currently there. Wikipedia in general is built on the backbone of people's passion projects. Though not necessary that statement was I guess a bit of an emotional appeal and attempt to give myself some legitimacy that this is something I was serious about doing for Wikipedia and my progress and plans for it could be verified by others. • Are you able to log into Glacialfox?--Bbb23 (talk) 20:10, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It appears I am, but I'm unable to use it due to my block. Xiaoaishiteru (talk) 20:15, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    What message do you get?--Bbb23 (talk) 20:21, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:
This account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia.
This does not affect your ability to read Wikipedia pages.
The account ‪Xiaoaishiteru‬ has been blocked (disabled) by ‪Bbb23‬ for the following reason(s):
Clearly not here to build an encyclopedia
This block will not expire. Xiaoaishiteru (talk) 20:27, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not quite what the autoblock page says is the "current message", but I've removed autoblock from your block to see if that fixes it. Try again, please. If you can edit, post something here using your Glacialfox account. Don't edit any other pages, though, until we sort this out because technically it would be block evasion.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:32, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It appears it will allow to me reply Glacialfox (talk) 20:33, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent. I won't be able to get back to you until later today, but I have a proposal that would enable you to work on your article. I just need to work out some of the wrinkles in my head and then discuss it with you. Plus, I have to step away from my computer for a while. Please be patient. I do appreciate your cooperation in this process.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:38, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Alright! I will be awaiting your response. -- Xiaoaishiteru (talk) 20:39, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm back. I am willing to restore your sandbox and move it to draft space, which would allow you to continue working on it, but instead of moving it to article space on your own when you think it's ready, you would submit it through WP:AFC.

I propose having you resume editing with Glacialfox, not with Xiaoaishiteru. That accomplishes several things: (1) you would have only one account; (2) you would edit with an account that has an extensive history, even if you haven't used it in the last six years; and (3) that history makes your current SPA-like activity much more reasonable because you have contributed to the encyclopedia, rather than looking like you're a new editor whose only objective is to take advantage of Wikipedia resources to create a discography. And, frankly, I disagree with your feeling embarrassed by your edits when you were a teenager; I think it's impressive that you spent so much time fixing spelling errors, which may seem small but is a very worthwhile task, as well as counter-vandalism.

So, all you would have to do is resume editing with Glacialfox. I would leave the Xiaoaishiteru account blocked but would change the block so it wouldn't look like you did anything wrong.

Your thoughts?--Bbb23 (talk) 23:58, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am willing to accept this! Honestly I think the most embarrassing part of my old account is the talk page LOL Xiaoaishiteru (talk) 00:11, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
All done. You can continue to edit with Glacialfox, and your sandbox is now at Draft:Kenichi Maeyamada discography. Let me know if you have any problems. As for your Talk page, I don't think you should be embarrassed. You have boundless energy. It's fairly obvious that you're young. You use textual emoticons a lot. But I wouldn't be embarrassed. One thing you can do, though, is set up archiving. Talk pages that are that active should be archived, but, in addition, you won't have to look at it. :-) Good luck!--Bbb23 (talk) 00:48, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much!! -- Xiaoaishiteru (talk) 00:53, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

is closed. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 00:58, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for asking here, but is there any way I can at least be given the data of my Sandbox that was deleted while I wait for my appeal on here to be processed? Xiaoaishiteru (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
