Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Carlos Terres.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:MakingOfTheWildcat.jpg. The copy called Image:MakingOfTheWildcat.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Carlos Terres[edit]

Thanks for your message at my user talk page. The internet is open to everyone but Wikipedia is a private site with its own rules, and one rule is that only people who are notable should have an entry. Wikipedia is not a collection of all information. There is guidance on who is considered to be notable and if a person does not meet the requirements, administrators can delete the article.

The purpose of biographies on Wikipedia is to inform readers about their lives, and not to advertise for jobs. Articles should not be set out as a curriculum vitae or résumé, but as a description of the life of the subject. Also, this is the English language Wikipedia and so articles here should be in English; there are Wikipedias available in other languages including Spanish.

I hope this explains why your article was deleted. If it can be proved that Carlos Terres is notable, and an English language article written about him, it may be best if you leave that to other people to write as you are related to him: conflict of interest guidelines say that Wikipedia editors should not write about themselves or people close to them.
