Protection....

[edit]

Hmmm....i didn't want to step on your toes, so my apologies when it sounded a tad unfriendly....but this is really not a case for a full protection, and even semiprotection seems overkill for the low level frequency of vandalism the article gets. Lectonar (talk) 19:37, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Lectonar: You didn't sorry i made it seem that way. I take everything anyone says into serious consideration, its just with the recent rise of Racism within the last few years I'm worried people will increase vandalism onto peoples wiki articles that were involved in civil war, racist movements, slavery, etc. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 19:41, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Just a few more words: as Wikipedia is the encyclopedia that everyone can edit, we try to keep it this way....every protection kind of curtails that freedom, so we should only protect when we get to a point at which there is no alternative, as pages are not protected preemptively. Cheers and happy editing. Lectonar (talk) 19:49, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ANI archiving

[edit]

Hello Zppix. Please stop prematurely archiving threads on ANI. Closed threads should remain for at least 24 hours. Thanks. — JJMC89(T·C) 18:48, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, will do. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 18:49, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also thanks for informing on this as I was not aware of this I know there was a certain time to wait but I thought it was along the lines of 1-2 hours. If I've made any more mistakes feel free just to slap me on the wrist and I'll fix it :D Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 18:59, 25 February 2016 (UTC) @JJMC89:[reply]
No worries. We leave them up there so others that are not online when the threads are closed can see the results without digging through the archives. Sometimes they even get reopened if the issue isn't fully resolved. Cheers. — JJMC89(T·C) 19:11, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is a misunderstanding

[edit]

Yesterday I received an answer that there has been made no changes from the last upload. I think there is a problem somewhere. I did the changes and wrote them down to the last contributor in their personal space, but didin't get any response.

Just so that we be on the same page.

Last contributor told me that the article appears to be autobiography because the log in name and the name of the article is the similar. I have explained her that the log in name and the name of the article is not related, and the log in name was chosen so that it would be easyer to remember. Also I have not found any wikipedia instructions that log in name acnnot be other than same.

Furthermore did all the required changes in the text:

1. I have changed some of the references in the text from the reference to result tables to the articles that Lithuania’s press write about the Martynas Jasiunas (how he won and that he won any of the trophies) in order to highlight the notability. The tables of results references are still added to the “Awards” paragraph. Few examples would be Bronze medal in Krakow or victory in Malaysia.

2. Furthermore added additional information concerning Martynas Jasiunas fighters career which is backed by articles of Lithuania’s press (Lithuania’s main newspapers (“Lietuvos zinios”, “Delfi”, “Lietuvos rytas”, “15min”) and by national television of Lithuania – “TV3”.

3. As required removed the links that go to External links. Also new change – content table.

So I do not quite understand what I should do now. If I put my article on re-review and somebody will say it again, that the text is not changed they will delet my account. However I did all the required changes. I am not quite sure what is happening here and where is the problem.

Kind regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasiunas (talkcontribs) 15:57, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've looked at the draft in question, and I believe you were overly hasty in your reaction. The diff here shows that, although the content is largely the same, the references have been substantially improved. As such, I believe that you were far too harsh in your interaction with the user. I have also explained the importance of having a username which does not unintentionally mislead other editors or confuse the issue; the user in question has agreed to a rename, which will be implemented soon. I dont understand how this involves me... Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 17:30, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Closed moved into article space, sorry for the trouble. I clearly had a wikipedia bug that didnt show that you changed anything, I sincerely apologize to you both! Ill send you both some kittens for your troubles. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 21:37, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
