Vairag is a town in Barshi Taluka of Solapur district in Maharashtra, India. The village is located centrally between Solapur and Barshi.

Its population is approximately 45,000 as per 2016 census.

Vairag is full of ancient temples. It is very famous for its Aadat Bazar. During the Nizam's rule it was a great marketplace. The first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru also visited the village.

The village hosts a large fair (Jatra) in honour of Shri. Santanath Maharaj carnival(Yatra) in August, on the day of Narali-Pournima.[citation needed]. Public entertainment on day includes Lezim, Jazz-Pathak, Dhol-Tasha etc.

Vairag is a town with the 2nd biggest population in Maharashtra. The Gram panchayat (Village parish council) incorporates the main village and 56 small villages and hamlets inside its legal boundary.
