Valia Kakouti, (Greek: Βάλια Κακούτη) born 1981 in Athens, won the Miss Star Hellas 2004 title and was chosen to represent Greece at the Miss Universe 2004 pageant held in Quito, Ecuador. Kakouti was one of the stars of the preliminary competition and she was outstanding in evening gown and best overall presentations, which the judges voted for her as one of the top five nominees for the "best stage presence" event, coming in 3rd place.[citation needed] Her face has appeared in numerous fashion magazines such as Maxim and KLIK. She is also a professional ballet dancer and teacher.
