WBGY (88.1 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a mix of adult contemporary music, news, and talk. Licensed to Naples, Florida, United States, the station serves the Marco Island area. The station is currently owned by Everglades City Broadcasting.[1] The station is co-owned by Paul Lethbridge, former CBC television national news anchor and Toronto radio personality and Michelle Higgins.[citation needed] The station is repeated on W251BL 98.1 MHz; licensed to Everglades City and operating at Marco Island, the repeater serves the Marco Island area including Goodland and Isles of Capri.[2]

WBGY applied to the FCC in January 2015 for a city of license change, a power increase and change of tower location.[3][4][5]

WBGY is the flagship station for Florida Everblades hockey broadcasts.

In the 1970s, WBGY was the call sign of a 100,000 watt FM station at 93.3 licensed for operation in Tullahoma, Tennessee. It was owned by Jerry Newton, the brother of singer Wayne Newton.[citation needed]
