WESO (970 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Business Talk/Lifestyle Talk format, simulcasting sister station WBNW in Concord.[3] It previously broadcast a country music format as "The Spirit 970" until October 2008. Licensed to Southbridge, Massachusetts, USA, the station serves the Worcester area. The station is currently owned by Emmanuel Communications, Inc.[4]

On June 13, 2014, Money Matters Radio, Inc. reached a deal to sell WESO to Emmanuel Communications, Inc., the owner of Worcester Catholic radio station WNEB (1230 AM). The deal closed on August 29, 2014, at a purchase price of $250,000. Following the sale, WESO will be converted to noncommercial operation.[5]
