WLEN (103.9 FM) is a radio station in Adrian, Michigan, broadcasting a full-service adult contemporary format with a heavy emphasis on local news, weather and sports.

WLEN studios

The station began broadcasting in 1965 as the first FM radio station in Lenawee County, and has been owned by the Koehn family (d/b/a Lenawee Broadcasting Company) since its inception. Over the years the station's music has evolved from a mix of MOR and country music to exclusively adult contemporary with hits from the mainstream AC and Hot AC formats, with oldies played on Fridays during "Friday Flashbacks." Like many other AC stations, WLEN plays continuous Christmas music between Thanksgiving and Christmas, taking a break on Fridays for the station's regular "Friday Flashbacks" programming of oldies from the 1950s through the 1980s.

WLEN features ABC Entertainment Network radio news on the hour, hourly. All music programming is locally hosted (locally automated during overnight hours) with the exception of two weekend specialty shows: Magic of the 80's on Saturday nights and the weekend version of the John Tesh Radio Show on Sunday nights.

Other WLEN features include national and local newscasts, "Classified" (a Tradio-style feature), "Viewpoint" (a Saturday-morning phone-in talk show hosted by Dale Gaertner, Program Director), and weekly specialty features focusing on neighboring communities such as Tecumseh, Onsted, Blissfield, Hudson, the Irish Hills area, and Deerfield.

The two major local newscasts are at 12 Noon and 5pm on weekdays (anchored by Gabriel Schray and Kristin Mahan). WLEN hosts a number of popular DJs, including Joe Johns, Laura Rutkowski, Ian Wendt, Kristina Kidney and Mike Reynolds. Other notable personalities include sports broadcasters John Koehn, Steve Barkway, Gabriel Schray, Chris Renwick and Patt Hayes. Koehn has broadcast Adrian High School Football for over 40 years. Barkway has been the acting Sports Director for over a decade. Schray recently replaced him as the play-by-play for Adrian College Football. The station also features a popular Tejano music show, "Radio Picoso", on Sunday afternoons, hosted by Herbey Atkinson.

Julie Koehn is the General Manager of WLEN Radio and President of Lenawee Broadcasting.

WLEN began transmitting in HD Radio in the spring of 2015. As of January 2016, the station airs a delayed simulcast of the analog and HD-1 signal on its HD-2 channel.

Lenawee Broadcasting Company also owns translator W243AD 96.5 FM in Adrian, which it purchased from Spring Arbor University (which had previously used it to relay its WSAE 106.9 FM) in November 2014. W243AD is currently on the air relaying WLEN.
