WTCV is a full-service television station in San Juan, Puerto Rico transmitting over digital channel 32. The station serves as an owned and operated station of SBS's Mega TV network, since September 11, 2014.
WVEO is a full-service television station in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico transmitting on digital channel 17.
WVOZ-TV (digital channel 47) is also a full-service television station located in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
These stations are owned by Spanish Broadcasting System Puerto Rico, the owners of WZNT 93.7 FM, WODA 94.7 FM, WRXD 96.5 FM & WMEG 106.9 FM.[citation needed]
During the 1980s and early 1990s, WTCV was known as WSJU (SJU standing for San Juan International Airport's ID) and was an NBC affiliate, one of two commercial English-language networked stations broadcasting in Puerto Rico (the others being WPRV-TV & WUJA) during the 80s; around 1990, the station also carried Home Shopping Network programming during most of the late-morning and afternoon hours.[1][self-published source?] There are now four commercial English-language network-affiliated stations in Puerto Rico, all of which broadcast from San Juan & Mayagüez.[citation needed]
On September 11, 2014, WTCV became a Mega TV owned & operated station, following the sale of Spanish Broadcasting System through its License Management Agreement for $1.9 millon, leaving its status as an Independent station, while its former owner, International Broadcasting Corporation continues to be its Licensee, until SBS will transfer WIOA 99.9 FM, WIOC 105.1 FM & WZET 92.1 FM to IBC's TV operations. Starting in March 2015, WTCV will begin its Local programming, produced by SBS Puerto Rico, which owns Z-93, La Nueva 94, Estereotempo and La Mega. The sale of WTCV with SBS was completed on September 1st, 2015.
On December 30, SBS announced that he would sell the WTCV license in the FCC's spectrum auction (originally scheduled for sometime in 2015, then pushed back a year). SBS said that once the auction is complete, the station would go off the air, or will move to another channel.
