I am confident that this is the same individual behind Special:Contributions/Barney's New Man, whom I haven't added above only because the account is already indef blocked. This editor appears to come to Wikipedia from public terminals in and around Columbus, Ohio (often on the OSU campus), making characteristic anti-Semitic or homophobic edits to a variety of articles, including Diet of Worms, Jewish lawyer stereotype, Muffin Spencer-Devlin, List of Jewish economists and List of Rugrats episodes. The subject IPs (some of which were range blocked temporarily a few months ago) include Special:Contributions/164.107.191.108, 164.107.191.102, 140.254.227.56, 140.254.227.185, and 140.254.227.55. There are several other similarly suspicious IPs in these ranges, perhaps as many as 20. I can provide a list of many if any admin is interested. JohnInDC (talk) 18:13, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

These come from a list I've been maintaining separately, to make AIV reports go a little more smoothly. (It goes back maybe 4-5 months - I mark it to a few weeks before this exchange on my Talk page.) The identity is pretty clear in every case. It's my entire list and so includes the ones already listed above. There may also of course be others that I haven't noticed, too.

This guy is my cousin and roommate. A lot of times we have the same IP so I was blocked for awhile. I don't think he really means any harm; he's a wannabe comedian and thinks it's a lot funnier than it is. I can see how it would get really annoying for you guys though. He was bugging me to check out this page so I did. I don't think the username with the racial epithet is his but I know the others are. I've been trying to tell him to cut the crap. 132.235.129.0/22 looks feasible for now. You can probably expect more collateral when the school year starts.
140.254.227.0/24 looks stale.
164.107.188.0/22 looks stale.

Obvious socks. The usernames (reflecting an anal fixation, or variations on Favonian) are the same variety as prior puppets, and the vandalizing edits (including the characteristic fake template message) are directed at editors who've reported or blocked prior puppets. (In this case, me, Special:Contributions/The Interior and Special:Contributions/Anthony Bradbury.) These two socks were quickly blocked for vandalism but I am reporting them anyhow in case someone wants to look for sleepers, or consider an IP rangeblock to head off this persistent abuser. Suspected sockpuppets

The former admits his puppetry on this Talk page; the latter, already blocked for vandalism, exhibits the characteristic "prank" of a fake sockpuppet notice on the Talk page of other editors who revert him. I've added 3 IPs, all with subject edits directly to pages of or relating to prior puppets, for the sake of completeness and in case any admin action in connection with them is deemed necessary. Characteristic edits (anti-U Michigan, homophobic), typical theme for typically offensive name (echoing prior sock Hoez2Pimp); already reported at AIV and may be blocked by now, but reporting here too to ensure all socks are tracked.
