Cleanup of ancient Amharic manuscript page requested

I've already cropped the image & adjusted levels, but don't have the software (or skills!) to clean up some of the damage from ±700 years of wear & tear. @Tillman: I have uploaded the image at a better resolution. In my opinion, retouching (correcting age-related damage) should not be done as it will not add new value and certainly may introduce changes inconsistent with the appearance of the original manuscript not damaged by time. Hi, please increase the resolution of this image. For some reason, I am unable to upload pictures from Bonhams with the highest resolution. Can anyone remind me of the trick (i.e. the "how to")? Thanks in advance,

@PawełMM: Still cant figure it out unfortunately. For some reason, I can never find the highest resolution when using Bonhams. For Christies/Sotheby's its no issue usually. :/ When using Bonhams, I can only find the low resolution images when using the souce of the web page. - LouisAragon (talk) 11:17, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@LouisAragon: On the image source page https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/26017/lot/37/ you can find for example the line: src = "https://images1.bonhams.com/image?src=Images/live/2020 -09 / 21 / 25000446-36-2.jpg & amp; width = 640 & amp; height = 480 & amp; autosizefit = 1 ". From there you ONLY copy https://images1.bonhams.com/image?src=Images/live/2020-09/21/25000446-36-2.jpg and this is the address of the full resolution image page you are looking for. @LouisAragon: Done In your browser, you have the option to view the source of the web page. There you look for the address to the page where the full resolution image is located. It has an image type term in the address, for example ".jpg", which you can use as a search key. In a new window you open the page you found and you have the full resolution file.
