This is a page for planning for the Wikimedia Foundation booth at the 2011 San Mateo Maker Faire (Homepage), May 21 & 22

The Wikipedia® booth is # 280 in the "Expo Hall" (southern-most large building), which is just to the right of the main entrace. The booth is near the Legos display. (User:Lar would approve) and near the NASA booth in the building closest to the entrance. You can find this all via the 2010 event map and the Legos place is marked pretty-closed to where it is for the 2011 event. See also the WikiMapia entry

Please put your name down if you can bring any of these items.

  • big monitors
  • laptops to hook them too
  • touchscreen monitors would be an extra bonus
  • last year we brought a tv, someone could get ambitious and do this again
  • powerstrips
  • ethernet
  • duct tape
  • anything that might help in the shoddy ethernet department (Stephen, did you specify ethernet access?)

  • water for volunteers
  • someone to lead the process of set up -- to pick up our booth pass etc.
