Wikipedia is my favorite resource for whenever I need to research anything. Perhaps I can add something small to such a great resource.
Oops... I should really read instructions more thuroughly. Wikipedia is great!

I will have to learn much more about wikipedia and mediawiki. You can see my favorite topics in my user profile in the german wikipedia. One of my intrests is Open Source and everything concerned with this. See
This project will also get a sort of wiki. Currently I only contributed to articles in the german wikipedia + some images.

Finally dipping my toes in
After growing to depend on this site at work, and teaching my junior-high-aged daughter to refer here, I was happy to be able to make my first tiny edit. I also enjoy working in the Homestar Runner Wiki. Susan
I am trying to find translations for health, life, prevention, wellbeing, or in other words , a phrase meaning take care of your health and have a better life.
Hi, I am new to wikipedia.

Hi, my name is Jan R, I'm Norwegian and a new participant in Wikipedia. I've tried to download some pictures already, but find it very difficult and frustrating. This licence and category-stuff really threatens to kills my enthusiasm. Anyway - I'll try som more and see what happens. Perhaps my errors will give me the knowledge I need. --Jan R 18:10, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

WTF IS THIS? who ever wrote that abuse is a prick.
Thanks for the welcome, Preschooler.at.heart.
I've been a Wikipedia fan for a long time (you're one of my favorite resources), and finally joined because of the article on my home away from home, Experts Exchange, where I'm one of the volunteer administrators. Although my edits to that particular article were fairly minor, I've been in and around the news business long enough (about 40 years) to respect and appreciate accuracy, and I was raised to stand by anything I say. So I figure that if I'm going to edit something, at least everyone should know who did the deed.

hey, I have been using Wikipedia for about a year now. I think I trump most people on the nerd scale (comic books + Harry Potter = 15 on the nerd scale). I am semi-fluent in spanish and look to offer random bits of nerdy information and revisions --Caval valor 04:49, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Can't miss a day without visiting wikipedia to learn something. I am glad to be a part of wiki family.
Hi guys, my nick is JZA and I am the co-Lead of the OpenOffice.org Spanish community. I had know wikipedia since it's infants and finally decide to join. The main reason? Vanity, I confess I wanted to have my Bio on the 'pedia.
I can't really point out when I learn about wikipedia but most be around 5 months after it's creation. Wikipedia since then has exploded and I have use it constantly. I wish wikipedia could be on the opera/firefox toolbars so I can find what I need easily and I hope we can get a printed version published in Spanish.
Good lucks guys and keep up the great work.

New User to Wikipedia
I'm a new Christian author, my new book is Life is a Buffet So Save Room for Dessert. I'm interested in subjects regarding Christianity, books, humor, and news in general. Would like to use Wikipedia as a resource. Not sure what my own contributions will be at this point.
Thank you for the warm welcome into the Wikipedia Community. It is a true honor to be a part of such a great organization.
The reason why Wikipedia is so strong and popular is its commitment to the persuit of truth. Regardless of political or religious affiliations, people all over our planet can come to Wikipedia to learn about their world and wash away all thoughts of predjudice, bigotry and ignorance. May Wikipedia continue to do its noble work and exist for many more years to come.
Hi I'm new, I've only written one article, but vow to work on it diligently.SaraK 09:04, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi everyone. I just wanted to pop in and say 'Hello' to everyone.
Like SaraK, I have only written one article as I spend most of my time helping run our own Wiki Project.

Hi I'm a french user of Wikipedia (you can see me here Sebfun on Wikipedia FR), I've made many contributions and I'll be happy to contribute on the EN wikipedia. I can translate articles from french to english and english to french. :) I live south of Paris and i'm a system & netword administrator in the real life. I was living during many years at Créteil and I'm contributing to make the article to this city to become an article of quality. I really like sitcoms such as Friends or Joey also contributing in french of linked articles to this sitcom (Friends). See you later ;) Sebfun 09:41, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
I enjoy very much in contributing to Wikipedia.
I started on Wikipedia in February 2006. My interests are quite widespread and ample, e.g. intercultural relations, literature, logics and philosophy, languages, history etc.
As part of my professional work, I am translating texts, among them very technical ones like patent inquiries or business related texts.
I am living in the UK and would like to get in contact with some other Wikipedians who share some of my interests.

I've been an anon user of Wikipedia for probably a year now, and thought it might be time to jump in and lend a hand. I'm rather proficient at proofing/editing/being a grammatical stickler. I have a broad (which is not to say deep) body of knowledge floating around in my brain, and tend to learn new things quickly. Thanks in advance for all the advice I'm sure I'm about to receive. :-) OscarTheCat 20:29, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
JennySteve joins Wikipedia.... news at 11.
I am the Steve of JennySteve. Jenny and I have lively conversations (lasting from minutes to months) about literature, science, nature, history, etc. Some politics but we mostly tease each other about our differences there. I frequently logon to Wikipedia for a quick background check on a topic. We've found "a missing link" and have decided to co-author a WikiPage.
El Oso =
after obsessing over Wikipedia and using it to gain extensive knowledge of things i thought i knew a lot about, i have decided to finally join up and get involved. I'm studying an MA in Library and Information Management and I am planning to base my dissertation around the subject of wiki's, probably by comparing quality of pieces with other sources such as Britannica and by contacting some of the people that make a significant contribution to find out their philosophy regarding wikipedia and how this differs from the driving force of blogs and other recent developments.
Feel free to drop me a line if you think you could help, i still have to decide which topics to use for comparisons and who to contact. Still working on a literature review at current.

Oops sorry thought i was adding an article. oh well did you guys think it was good? I'm obikwan and i like mmos and pc games like Warcraft 3
anyway i look forward to gettigto know you guys
I joined Wikipedia today, although I've been using (and enjoying) it for some time now. I'm a college student working on two degrees, one in History and one in Literature. I'm looking forward to writing some articles on a number of semi-obsure historical figures who I have noticed are not represented on Wikipedia. Other interests of mine include art, philosophy, music, humor, vegetarianism, language, and various other facets of culture.
Hello, I'm new!
- A shame that one of your first contributions was to add an insult about someone's middle name to their biography. Perhaps you could have a bit more respect for what this site is about in future? 22.214.171.124 17:02, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
SUPREME DESTINY is an mmorpg that can be found at link title. It has 4 classes:transknight, hunter, foema(mage), and beastmaster each with its respective sets of weapons, skills, and armor. The character can also dual wied weapons. Your goal is to adnvance levels and complete quests by obtaining special items by killing monsters. The character can join guilds and form groups known as parties. In addition higher level characters can conduct sales known as autotrades. They often will sell expensive highlevel items. New players should not go to the beginners server because it has more people competing for the same monsters which can lead to arguments.
While the first quest sounds easy it is a bad idea for new players to try it immediately due to the fact that if you die you have to start the quest over again.
Bargain hunting While looking for a good deal on low level items look for these signs of a cheap sale:
The title includes either max lvl or max price If the title sounds too good to be true it probably is so dont trust title like "cheap" Look for people in armor like you. this will narow down the highlevels If the title says noob stuff or new player items check it out and see Lastly if you see anything on the ground pick it up to sell Easy exp Some monsters like gorillas and gremlin kings provide enough xp to be worth your time butt are also easy to kill and provide money and items. Other monsters like orcs you can kil when you are only 10 levels below them (see monster guide) without too many problems.
Pets Supreme Destiny is unique in that you can ride pets like horses, boars, wolves, and dragons. Every account has one horse (note account does not mean your character). I would not recommend using it right away as it disappears after 3 days of use. This does not apply if you can buy a horse with epoints which can be obtained by paying real world money. Please note that pets will never be obtained through drops by monsters under level 100. And that you need a fate, bones, andspirit of your desired pet.
Tips for cash If you need cash and you are a new player then here are some quick ideas:
follow highlevels around to collect stuff they dont want DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON FOOD Kill gorillas, gremlins, and boars repeatedly Always buy dual weapons they do more dmg for less cost take advantage of the hunters ability to lower prices Weapon advice when choosing a weapon there are some things to consider:
Make sure you can wield it Check any bonuses it has and see if they're needed When riding a pet DUAL WIELD or use spears Defender is an excellent weapon for new players Clubs, axes, and swords are good for dual
Advantages of each class
Transknights can do alot of dmage with their magic sword Hunters can use bows which gives them a range advantage Foemas have an impressive arsenal of magic at their hands Beastmasters can summon monsters or transform into one Transknights have excellent armor and weapons Hunters canuse a trade skill to make buying cheaper Foemas can use some bows as well as staffs Beastmasters can use alot of weapons like a Transknight Edicate
DO NOT stand on top of items so that noone else can get them Please be respectful and do not curse anyone Remember if you cant handle being Pked dont enter Pk zones Collecting someones coins as soon as they appear is rude Do Not tell new players something is worth less than it is
I've been editing for a while, but someone finally sent me a note and politely suggested that I should register ^^. I'm from Montreal, and browse Wikipedia for anything that piques my interest. TTFN

Well, I finally created an account here. I don't edit articles very much, but when I want to it's inconvenient to be unable to at school. Since the school has a shared IP address for every computer, one immature person's vandalizing actions a few months ago caused my entire school's IP to be banned from Wikipedia - so nobody can edit from school if they're not logged in. I used my real name for my login here because apparently you can't be given intellectual-property rights when your work is signed with a pseudonym (according to the help page about usernames). But seeing that nobody else here has, I'm wondering if that was a good idea... Edward Tremel 00:03, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Hi! I actually created this account a while back, but only started editing under it recently. I love Wikipedia, and I think it's a great idea, but I need some help on getting started. Thanks! --Anakata 01:21, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
I've been visiting Wikipedia more lately and thought that it would be a good idea to create an account. I first found Wikipedia after Googling something and the first result came to this site. Wikipedia has a lot of useful information that has increased my knowledge over the time I've spent on it, so that you for that. Ha.
Well, I enjoy editing little tidbits here and there, but I don't make any drastic changes. I might later on make articles on things that are my interests. I also enjoy fixing grammar. I'm more interested in Wikipedia's physics and chemistry articles than anything other articles. I'm very interested in science and hope to excel in that subject one day. I have become addicted to the little userboxes. I posted my life story on my userpage. It's very boring, I'm sorry. ;-; Anyways, I never know how to end anything. So bye. --Ayame The Wolf 01:35, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Just like to say I think Wikipedia is awesome, I found out about it through my college English Langauge teacher. You see, we set up our own college wiki, and he explained how wikipedia was used and created. I had used wikipedia before but I never realsied users could actually edit the encyclopedia entries! So now I am a convert and will use Wikipedia for all my research- and hopefully help other people with theirs too! Han 20:43, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Hey. I'm Chelsea, I'm sixteen, and I live in Chicago. I've been using Wikipedia as a research & reference tool for ages and ages. (I probably found it on Google or something.) Interests... Well, Shakespeare first and foremost. I can't stress that enough. Also theatre (acting & seeing & reading), literature, music (listening & playing - I play harp, both classical and Irish), history (especially European Renaissance), writing, travel, psychology...lots of other stuff...getting into college is a big interest right now. >.< I don't know what else to say. Someday I'll get my user page up. My eyebrow hurts.

Hello all. I've been using Wikipedia as a resource for quite some time; I don't even recall how I found the site, it's been so long.
I eventually signed up for an account today: I read an article about a personal acquaintance and noticed that his name was misspelled. I didn't realize that I could edit it without actually creating an account. In any case, I read this site so much that I feel I should probably start contributing (even if it's only to fix the occasional typo).

Hello everyone! I've used Wikipedia for a long time now, and I finally created an account! I have edited pages before and I'm somewhat knowlageable of wiki-markup. Greetings to all citizens of the Wikisphere! I've been reading and addicted to Wikipedia for quite a long time, but have finally created my own account. It seems like the ethical thing to do before editing other's submissions. I'm young enough to have a very wide range of interests. (That's how I get addicted.) I'm old enough to know quite a bit about many things. I hope I'm humble enough to know the true limits of my own knowledge and experience. I hope I'm wise enough to avoid the kinds of obsessive arguments one finds here.
I look forward to seeing what you bring to this body of knowledge.
Take care, Dash 00:14, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
I have been using Wikipedia for a long time and like many students it is fair to say that Wikipedia is always a fundamental part of one's research. I am particularly interested in Music and I've already made one edit after having been a member for not much longer than an hour. I can also speak German and I look forward to making the rich knowledge of native German speakers available for English visitors once I've got to grips fully with Wikipedia, as well as adding content and articles.

Howdy. I'm not new to Wikipedia, but only tried my hand at writing and editing a few days ago (early May, 2006). I'm a hobbyist-writer, used to belong to a couple of APAs, and was a reporter once upon a time (not that I'm sure that prepared me for writing on a factual basis...). Most of my current interests here seem to revolve around guns, but that's not a big facet of my life (I might get up the nerve to try write something about sudoku again, ferinstance). I like the fact there are no deadlines, and the only pressure is to Get It Right. I wish the tutorials were a little easier to read, but perhaps I just need to read them closer. I look forward to working with you all. Tychocat 09:59, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

hey all...well...lets see... My primary intrest is meteorology (especially Tropical Meteorology) but I'm also interested to varying degrees in other areas...currently I'm a rising sophmore in college and am double majoring in Atmospheric Science(Climatology Branch) and Mathamatics (Applied Branch). I plan on eventually going to grad school to study Tropical Meteorology and get my doctorate. I know a lot about meteorology, especially Tropical Meteorology and Synoptic Meteorology and am proud to be called an absolute weather geek who spends his spare time voluntarily researching ways to expand his knowledge and practice techniques. I signed up for an account so I could help create and expand upon weather related articles. I can't remember how I found wikipedia...'twas a long time ago...probably there was something linking to it...anywho

I am new to this and need lots of help. I have recently become a history buff, with in the last 10 years. I am interested in the History of the Williamsburg/Yorktown, VA area.
I am obsessed with linguistics. I speak English and German fluently, and will be teaching English in France starting this fall, where I intend to learn French fluently as well.
I mostly hope to contribute by translating articles from German and French into English.
I also love ancient history.

I'm very excited to be part of this rapidly growing community of volunteer editors. My interests, very briefly include writing, editing, research and investigation, working with others, special projects, etc.
Although new to Wikipedia, I have worked with the Wiki tool before so understand the syntax, and like it. I'm looking forward to absorbing all the policies and standards for continuing to develop Wikipedia with everyone here.

Uh, hi, I guess. I am Sylocat. I've been editing for a while here, before I finally decided to get my own username on here (since I was doing so much cleaning up). Uh, well, not much to say here... you'll see me around, look for my mark on various movie & TV boards, mostly anime but a fair bit of other stuff too. I prefer to work from the shadows, usually on spelling cleanup and correcting mistakes, but I do a little writing as well.
I'm a perfectionist, so if you do some writing on the pages of any anime or movies I like, it's probably me who will wind up checking back and cleaning up any spelling and grammar mistakes of yours. So I will make myself useful, although I would appreciate as light a workload as possible... lol...

Hello. I like Wikipedia in general, and like to read. So I figured if I finish a book I would try to put something about it up for others who may be searching and wondering if it is any good. Hello. I've been a big fan of Wikipedia and am curious to see what happens next here. I have been an editor for Atomica Magazine - covering the intersection of media, technology and business. Specific interest areas include music, consumer electronics, magazines and mobile. Here's to reaching out to others with similar (or dissimilar) interests.

I've been active here for a little under a week. I'm interested in history, politics and films. I am becoming interested in the challenge of writing nPOV articles on controversial topics.
Hey all. I've been active here for about two weeks now and I'm totally addicted to it. I've been contributing to many articles, and so far already created two. I hope everyone enjoys my work. Wikipedia rocks! --The Scourge 03:52, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
While I have been using the 'Pedia for awhile, I just joined today. Got to reading an article with errors and a banner with lots of interesting personal pages, commentary, and discussion links. So I decided I'd just on jump in.
Like JChap, I would like to work in NPOV articles on "controversial" subjects. -- Chaophakao 0133EDT, 27 May 2006
I'm a new Wikipedian. I like the concept of "open-source" text that grows and improves by the devotion of a community of people. It also provides a fantastic outlet for my anal tendancies! Looking forward to much fine collaboration. Dgillett 06:12, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Hello Wikipedians - John here, based in UK but with a highly international outlook. Have been using Wikipedia for some years but only recently started contributing.
My interests are maritime affairs, shipping, transport, the mercantile marine and commerce. My working career started at sea but on coming ashore I moved into writing and international journalism, and, most recently, into publishing - mainly the online variety.
I would like to help more with editing/writing here but really my time doesn't permit. However, if anyone has any specific requests for finite tasks, I'd be happy to try to help. Please shout!

Hello world. My name is Lore (the username Lore was taken so I took the more arrogant sounding name of Lord Lore. My aren't I cocky) I am a history buff and have a particular interest in cultural groups throughout the ages as well as modern subcultures. I thought I would join Wiki so I may help to contribute to the knowledge base.
Hey all. I've been around WP for a while now, editing pages and the like, but only recently joined. Looking forward to getting to know you all better. Jb17kx 20:48, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Thought I'd jump on the bandwagon, hopefully I'll be able to make even a small contribution to this wonderful resource (once I get the hang of it properly). Colossus 86 22:13, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Just stopping by to say HI
I've been using wikipedia for so long that I do not even recall how I first stumbled upon it, but it is only now that I have finally decided to register my own account and become part of the community. I have my languages listed on my user page, and will be adding a general list of topical interests as time permits.

I'm a new user. My name is Janrae Frank. My main interests are science fiction, fantasy, dark fantasy, and horror. I made my original edit (the reason I joined) after finding errors on the listing for an author whose career I've followed for thirty years. Other areas of interest are World War II, medieval weapons and history, anthropology, and unusual customs.
Greetings from Toronto, Wikipedians! I feel I have to sign this even though I have been editing for a bit. I suppose I somehow missed this page!
It has been fun and informative preparing for and making edits, etc. I got interested in this site when I watched a NPOV debate rage on a religious page here. It taught me a lot about what this site stands for and what it does allow and what should not be written.
I get married in September of this year and get the awesome privelidge of taking a month and a half honeymoon starting in January. We travel back to South Africa and then spend from 2 weeks to a month in the Democratic Republic of the Congo! These things I cannot wait for!
Thanks for giving me a place to say hello! ...um please also ignore how many userboxes my page has. I'm learning... Lsjzl 22:42, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
