Sweet substitute: copyleft lyrics

[edit]

Is there anybody who knows or can provide me the lyrics of the song "Sweet substitute" (Jelly Roll Morton), as Karen Dalton sang it? --151.53.154.160 (talk) 16:15, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ANNA - 1951 MOVIE

[edit]

Is there any one who can help me track the 1951 movie ANNA starring Sylvana Mangano please? Acouple of weeks ago alos I posted a request on this page but I did not get any respons or is it that I cant track that down too?

I badly need to get a recording of the song sung sung in the night club by Sylvana herself. Could some one help me get a recording of it please? I am writing from Sri Lanka.

Thanking you in advance - Dru. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.43.217.107 (talk) 17:14, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome Dru. There was no response I think. Sylvana Mangano sings "El negro zumbon" (El bayon) in the nightclub on YouTube here[1].] (see "more" link for lyrics in Spanish and English) and there's a lot more. Here's a link to the search on amazon[2] at collector prices btw. No music recordings for it there. Hope this helps, Julia Rossi (talk) 23:12, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You've probably seen our articles Anna (1951 film) and Silvana Mangano with some nice images. Cheers, Julia Rossi (talk) 23:35, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When there´s no love in town
This new century keeps bringing you down
All the places you have been
Trying to find a love supreme
