POW film, high ranking officers

[edit]

I have a vague memory of a POW film set in the Second World War, where the prisoners are high ranking Allied officers. Reminiscent of, and possibly based on, the experiences of Adrian Carton de Wiart, Dan Ranfurly, Philip Neame, et al, at the Castello di Vincigliata. Might have had Harry Andrews in it, but that might just be because he was in everything. Thanks, DuncanHill (talk) 00:10, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Probably too obvious, but I'll throw The Great Escape out there. We have a category on World War II prisoner of war films you could click through. Matt Deres (talk) 01:44, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Stalag 17 as well. Similar setting (a Stalag Luft) to Great Escape.--Jayron32 01:49, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, definitely not The Great Escape or Stalag 17, nor is it Albert R. N., The Colditz Story, or The Wooden Horse. It's something obscure and probably not very good. DuncanHill (talk) 01:52, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, well on looking through the category that Matt Deres linked above, I can only assume it must be The Secret War of Harry Frigg, though my vague memories have completely erased Newman from it. DuncanHill (talk) 02:00, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
