How much less emissions on a calif smog test compared to Utah’s test?

[edit]

Thanks107.77.231.143 (talk) 01:20, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Does United States emission standards point you in the right direction? There are only two sets of vehicle emissions standards in the U.S., the national EPA standards and California's, and Utah follows the former, so compare the two. In case you're asking because you want to register in California a vehicle from another state, you want to read this. (And welcome to our fair state!) --47.146.63.87 (talk) 09:25, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How to use Level Select in Sonic Classic Collection?

[edit]

I'm trying to use the Level Select code from Sonic Classic Collection/Knuckles in Sonic 3. I tried it, but I don't even get the ring chime! Is it possible to do it on this port? Thanks. 184.8.94.4 (talk) 07:24, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Try using the cheat codes listed on this page: 1.--WaltCip (talk) 12:57, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Protege Group

[edit]

I would like to create an article for the Brazilian private security company Protege, but I'm afraid if it has enough notability or not. Take a look in these links: http://www.protege.com.br/en/
http://www.protege.com.br/en/protege-group/
http://exposec.tmp.br/16/en/protege-group-complete-security-solutions/

I'm not requesting for opinions, I just wanna know if this subject meets the criteria to have an article. Thank you! Gidev the Dood(Talk) 16:51, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Three references from the company's own website plus an exhibition listing and a press release do not do anything to show notability. You need to show multiple in-depth citations in reliable sources. We are not interested in anything the company has to say about itself. Rojomoke (talk) 18:57, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Rojomoke:I found more non-Protege-itself-related releases and put them in my sandbox along with translation, take a look: User:Gidev/sandbox

Well, why do _you_ personally mean that an article on this topic would be an enrichment for WP? That could tell us more than two tons of pro-or-contra blabber from the net. 194.174.76.21 (talk) 12:28, 16 April 2018 (UTC) Marco Pagliero Berlin[reply]

Replacing bayonet of camera lens

[edit]

I accidentally dropped my DSLR camera lens (a Panasonic Micro Four Thirds lens), and as a result a little bit of the bayonet mount assembly was chipped off. Now the lens screws into the camera OK, but doesn't stay exactly straight. This has stopped the autofocus from working. However, if I hold the lens with my left hand, I can lift it into the correct position and the lens works as happily as ever. If I let go, it drops back and the autofocus stops working. So I've deduced that the problem is only in the bayonet mount assembly, I haven't damaged the actual optics or electronics of the lens. The lens cost me almost 1000 €.

Looks like the entire bayonet assembly has to be replaced. But how? Can I take it to a camera repair shop and hope they have spares available? I watched a YouTube video about replacing it myself and found out that it's far too delicate work to even attempt myself. If I for example accidentally snap a wire or a spring in half, the entire lens is unusable. Does anyone have any idea about how long this operation would take and how much would it cost at a repair shop?

Or can I somehow put something in the bayonet mount assembly in place of the chipped-off piece to try to make it hold steady? JIP | Talk 20:29, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is highly likely it can be fixed. I have Canon cameras and the Canon repair centre fixed the compact G16 which has been fallen on in a rocky, szndy environment. However, only the repair centres could give a sensible estimate of the cost. You're not in the UK, I believe, so giving the address of the only Panasonic repair centre I can locate (in the UK) probably won't help. Try searching for Panasonic repair centre.--Phil Holmes (talk) 14:49, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Panasonic has a sales office in Helsinki. You find the address and contact details on the web. Check them and enquire. It would seem that one of the CPU contact pins between camera body and lens bayonet are marginally misaligned by the “wobbly” misfit between the two. It may be the one which powers the motor for focussing, but I am a Pentax user where architecture is different. In any case, the bayonet is metal which should not be chipped, although it can be minimally bent. Do not attempt to repair this yourself! You most likely need a replacement ring (or whatever) which must come from Panasonic. Do not use the lens in the meantime! If a minute, barely visible, grain of chipped plastic moves into the mechanical or optical parts of the lens you are in trouble. If I were you, I would insure the camera, take a train to Berlin, have it stolen and purchase a replacement :o) --Cookatoo.ergo.ZooM (talk) 18:17, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
