Are there any famous athletes from the Special Olympics that have written any memoirs?[edit]

I would love to read a memoir on that subject. 204.239.8.205 (talk) 20:49, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Funny, I would have thought there would be tons, but a few simple searches on special olympics memoir and special olympics autobiography don't turn up much. However, if your interest includes Paralympians, there is Jessica Long's Unsinkable: From Russian Orphan to Paralympic Swimming World Champion. And, of course, Oscar Pistorius' Blade Runner: My Story. Matt Deres (talk) 21:36, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I found this which may be along the lines of what you are looking for. --Jayron32 13:50, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please note that "Special Olympics" does not equal "Paralympics", and all the athletes mentioned have been Paralympians. "Special Olympics" refers specifically to games held where only athletes with learning difficulties or disabilities may compete. --TammyMoet (talk) 19:01, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
