Fever-Tree website[edit]

After reading the Fever-Tree article, I decided to visit their official website. The first thing the website did was ask me if I was of legal drinking age. Why? None of Fever-Tree's products are alcoholic. JIP | Talk 11:24, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Because – as I suspect you already know – its drinks are mixers, designed to be drunk with alcohol. It doesn't matter that they are not alcoholic drinks themselves. A reasonable person would conclude that anyone interested in their products is intending to drink alcohol. They are being a responsible company. --Viennese Waltz 11:28, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Texas Ballot Count in 1960 Presidential Election[edit]

Hi, in that year the whole state was voting on paper ballots, and a cross had to be affixed on the name of the candidate who wanted to vote. It is reasonable to think that the ballots after the voting operations were simply counted by hand. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.41.100.198 (talk) 15:20, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously. What's your question? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:32, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ah ... ok ... I set my question wrong, but you answered me perfectly. To be pedantic; "were the ballots counted manually?" I thank you for the answer, you still understand. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.41.100.198 (talk) 15:52, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Given that there was no machine-readable method, the only way was a hand-count. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 19:12, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
