[edit]

I am trying to submit a new article about the cricket tournament which was run from 2004 to 2007. I have provided the links of the tournament conducted each year on the bottom of the page (External links). I'd like someone to review, approve the article and let me know about it.

Thanks!

Hi, I have been working on a Wiki page for a public figure for a while now and it keeps being rejected as it is not demonstrating notability. in particular, when this page has been published https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Botterill As far as I can see, there is only one reference!!!

I was wondering if I could have a chat with a Wiki reviewer so that I can understand what I need to include in order to demonstrate notability?

@OuthouseUK: While Nigel Botterill only has one in-line citation, a quick search for additional sources reveals he has written for The Sunday Times ([1]), so he is more likely to be notable enough to pass our inclusion guidelines for people. We would probably not have passed the article through AfC today, and unfortunately it's just a reflection of how quality controls have increased over the years. Back to Jez Rose, the problem with the article is that it puffs up his media appearances. From looking at sources, it seems he wrote a book in 2005, and plugged it on the radio. However, reading the article you would get the impression that this was a regular and significant appearance. It isn't - I've been on BBC local radio as an interview piece myself, but I don't have an article. I've trimmed things down to what I believe it mostly cited to reliable sources, but I still wouldn't pass the article as it stands. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:53, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, WatchJamaica, I suggest the introduction to uploading images as a quick guide to this. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 03:25, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

HELP!How do I resubmit an article for approval? I've edited it but there seems to be no Submit button...

It went because you deleted it. I have reinstated it. At present you need far better referencing. SUbmit with pleasure, but do not treat this as a fire and forget process. Continue to improve the article until such time as it is reviewed. For the books I commend {{Cite book}} to you. Please never forget to link to the draft you want help and advice with. I've edited the page & now want to re-submit for approval. How do I do this? There doesn't seem to be any Submit button... Please help! Peppler64 (talk) 13:34, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted the resubmit button with this edit. Someone had added it back for you. --David Biddulph (talk) 13:41, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Asking the same question twice without looking at the answer is unusual. Fiddle Faddle 14:18, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

17:45:08, 22 July 2014 review of draft by Mia Mykle

[edit]

I have created a draft page but can't figure out how to make it live on Wikipedia. I read the article relating this this (Wikipedia: Moving a Page), but I do not have the "Move" button at the top of the page that the article recommends using. Please help! Mia Mia Mykle (talk) 17:45, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Mia Mykle: There is a danger with this article, Draft:CollegeMapper, that it is neither an article about a company nor a biography. I think, before you ask for it to be migrated to become an article you need to have a hard think about what it is. There is too much corporate info for a biog and too much biog for a corporate profile. If you like someone will set up the WP:AFC process on it so you can submit it for review?
New editors 'qualify' for a move tab after a while, by the way. Fiddle Faddle 17:54, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
