05:53:50, 14 December 2016 review of submission by Asr05008[edit]

1. I am struggling to change the title of this article to that of the individual about whom it is written. 2. I am still a bit confused apropos of photo upload guidelines. 3. Thank you for your time, energy and professionalism. Asr05008 (talk) 05:53, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, asr. Your draft now exists at Draft:César Abadía-Barrero. As for uploading photos, this can be a complicated process. You might want to start by reading WP:Uploading images, which will offer an introduction to the process. I hope this response has been helpful. Request on 18:50, 14 December 2016 (UTC) for assistance on Harbourside Shopping Centre submission by BugMenn[edit]

04:16, 14 December 2016 (UTC) review of submission by SwisterTwister declined Draft:Harbourside Shopping Centre

Hi, I really need help on this draft so it could be an article by January 2017. Need help with the sourcing especially guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies, the golden rule and notability. Please help this to become an article by January 2017. It was declined on 04:16, 14 December 2016 (UTC) review of submission by SwisterTwister.

BugMenn (talk) 08:14, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey BugMenn. Looking at the sources that are currently in the draft, a lot of them seem to be promotional in nature or otherwise closely connected with the subject. While sources like these can be used to back up facts that are in the draft, they unfortunately don't count for the purpose of establishing notability.
Having said that, the sources for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian Business Review seem like fairly good ones. Presumably, these sources don't have any financial or other otherwise promotional incentive for publicizing the subject, and so are likely simply writing about it simply because it is a worthwhile (notable) thing to write about. More coverage like this is what's needed to establish notability for the purposes of Wikipedia. Hope this helps. TimothyJosephWood 13:49, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hii, I am just trying to insert some newspaper cuttings but its not possible as it shows that it previously has same file as I did attached firstly but then deleted and now again am trying to attach photos its not doing, even I went in history to delete previously uploaded pics but its not done. can I know the reason behind this?

The images were deleted because they were copyright violations. Sorry, but we can't accept copyright content without the express written consent of the copyright holder. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:48, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

13:45:51, 14 December 2016 review of submission by Tom Scotland[edit]

I have created an article "Henry Gray (Scottish surgeon). It has been assessed start class. If I click on the title above the green box where it says Articles for creation:Henry Gray(Scottish surgeon) has been accepted , it takes me to the article. If I try and enter the title of my article on google,it takes me to Henry Gray, who was a surgeon and anatomist of the nineteenth century.I cannot get to MY Henry Gray. There is a link Henry Gray (disambiguation), and if I click on that,a page opens and Henry Gray (Scottish surgeon) is there as one of the options. When I click on it, it takes me to the page I want. My question is-How can I get MY Henry Gray to come up when I enter his name on google. Would it help if I put in his initials Henry MW Gray (Scottish surgeon)? Would that help to set him apart and make the page accessible? Many thanks, Tom Scotland

Tom Scotland, looks like your article hadn't been reviewed. Unreviewed articles are not indexed by Google. I have reviewed, and I would wait a few hours and try a few different searches to see if Google has crawled it yet. TimothyJosephWood 15:12, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This is a peculiar situation in that an article has been accepted by an AFC reviewer without being marked as reviewed by an NPP reviewer. Usually the AFC acceptance counts as the NPP review. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:52, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I posted at NPP about the issue. Who knows if anything will come of it. TimothyJosephWood 15:53, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stephaniegarner2122, is there a particular question you had or something that we can help clarify? TimothyJosephWood 15:24, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

16:41:11, 14 December 2016 review of submission by Etan J. Tal[edit]

I accepted editors' reasons to decline submission and shortened the citations. Of course, it is possible to shorten citations even more or even totally omit them, but I do not see how the article will become better. Replacing citations with my text will lose the authentic spirit of the era. I also wonder what 'more reliable sources' did the editors expect. Did any of them really check or read these references? Thanks for a constructive help! Etan J. Tal(talk) 16:41, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Wikipedia requires a wide range of independently published reliable sources. In addition, your submission has excessive quotes, which are not acceptable, per WP:QUOTEFARM. If you have any further questions, the help desk is always open, or you can leave a message on my talk page, or the talk pages of any of the three reviewers who reviewed your article (User talk:Winged Blades of Godric, User talk:Shadowowl and User talk:David.moreno72).
