00:58:20, 23 November 2020 review of draft by 2604:2000:E010:1100:D000:865B:3E74:5F4A

[edit]

Hi. I edited an existing draft. I am now ready to submit it for consideration. But it does not have a button for me to hit to request review. What should I do? Thanks.

[edit]

At this point, I don't think patrollers on AFC are actually reading "notability" pages close enough. A draft I submitted, for North of Albany, has been rejected twice now for "failing" WP:NFF. I'm asking for assistance because I need a second opinion on the article's notability and why it's been rejected. Before adding a reply, take a look at this discussion on why an unreleased film is notable for inclusion on Wikipedia. [edit]

Please could you suggest what more I need to do to get approval for the draft. I have tried to make it as compliant as possible and complied with all the requirements as suggested by reviewers (Kuruvillac (talk) 04:58, 23 November 2020 (UTC)) Kuruvillac (talk) 04:58, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

07:23:03, 23 November 2020 review of draft by Tola ao

[edit]

Hello, I am writing a company Wikipedia page and I have submitted twice and have been declined both times. I followed the instructions and it keeps citing reliable sources. The references I cited at the bottom of the page are reliable and giving feedback of "not good enough reliable sources" is vague. Please can you help me pin point which of the references you don't find reliable. I really want to get this done. Please Help Tola ao (talk) 07:23, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Rajiv vairo: understandable, but I am afraid that this list fails WP:LISTCRITERIA. If you have a student project, I am afraid that you need to choose a different topic. Maybe your teacher is interested in Wikipedia:Student assignments. 09:40, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

i collocted many ideas about how to write an article and i actually went out to look for them i traveled to jordan, amman just to tke references then they say there are no references I hope u help— Preceding unsigned comment added by Host 9099087 (talkcontribs)

I've fixed the formatting to make your comment visible. You have essentially posted. Mr. Alsufi's resume; Wikipedia articles must do more, they must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about him, showing how he meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person. Please see Your First Article for more information. I'm wondering how you came to write about this person? 331dot (talk) 10:01, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

10:16:56, 23 November 2020 review of submission by Вольный лев

[edit]

Why was my article rejected? It seems that the film is significant, added awards and cited sources, the first two in Russian, the second in Estonian. I looked closely at the English sources on Google - not a word.

Вольный лев (talk) 10:16, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Вольный лев Please review the comments left by the reviewer. The draft seems to just need minor work in terms of tone and language. 331dot (talk) 10:18, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Вольный лев I'm rather puzzled by the changes you made in the latest edit, according to IMDB the English translation of the title is "Well, Come On, Smile", IMDB also gives a Russian translation of the original Estonian title. BTW I do not agree with the reviewer's decline. If there really are style problems they are nowhere near serious enough, it should be accepted and the problems properly tagged. 13:31:12, 23 November 2020 review of draft by Andreia Iorgovan

[edit]

What should be the :Enter draft page title:" for a new page that I would like to be reviewed? I cannot submit it. Thank you.

Andreia Iorgovan (talk) 13:31, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Andreia Iorgovan I'm not sure what you are referencing; you have submitted your draft and it is pending. You don't need to do anything else. 331dot (talk) 13:33, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. The website suggested adding these references in order for my article to be reviewed sooner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andreia Iorgovan (talkcontribs) 13:35, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Andreia Iorgovan There isn't much you can do to speed up the review process, as reviews are conducted by a limited number of volunteers who do what they can, when they can, in no particular order. As noted on your submission notice, "This may take 3 months or more, since drafts are reviewed in no specific order. There are 3,720 pending submissions waiting for review." It could be reviewed in the next five minutes, or six months from now but it should be within a few weeks or so. Do you have a particular need for a speedy review?
Adding WikiProject tags might help other editors in those WikiProjects see your draft, but they aren't necessarily reviewers; typically actual articles are what get those tags. 331dot (talk) 13:39, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Host 9099087 (talk) 13:50, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Host 9099087 Wikipedia is not responsible for your sleeping patterns. The draft is not going anywhere anytime soon(drafts are deleted after six months of inactivity); you are welcome to come back to it when you are rested. You may also find it helpful to use the new user tutorial to learn more about Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 13:53, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

yeah I know but thx for advising me to sleep i actually felt bad but nvm I read this thing carefully and i read everything and still NIZAR ABDULLAH ALSUFI draft is still not published i actually have a time schedule and i don't like to mess it up. 🌹❤️ Host 9099087 (talk) 13:58, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Host 9099087 For further comment, please edit this existing section, instead of creating additional sections. (this is easier to do in the full browser version as opposed to the app or mobile version). 331dot (talk) 14:06, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

14:55:33, 23 November 2020 review of draft by Azumi121

[edit]

Hi Contributors, Could you help me with this article and see where I can improve or what changes to make to have it approved? They say that submission appears to be more like an advertisement and I can't see which part is that. It also says it does not show significant coverage, does this mean the resources I linked it with is not good resources? Any of your input would be helpful and valuable. Thank you in advance for those who will respond. I will really appreciate it that I will get to learn more about Wikipedia.

Azumi121 (talk) 14:55, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Azumi121 You have essentially posted a list of accomplishments for Mr. Avery. Wikipedia articles must do more, they must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a person, showing how they meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person. Please see Your First Article for more information. Successfully writing a new article is the absolute hardest thing to do on Wikipedia; it's good to learn as much as you can first. You may also wish to use the new user tutorial. 331dot (talk) 15:30, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

331dot (talk) Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it. I would read more about the sources you mentioned so I can follow the guidelines for writing one which what matters in Wikipedia. Again thank you so much for taking the time to respond. 15:49:51, 23 November 2020 review of submission by Ricardus Cibarius

[edit]

I would like to do a major edit of existing article but would like contact the author to discuss the edit before I do it. How do I contact him/her? (I don't see any "save page" button so I am clicking "publish changes" Ricardus Cibarius (talk) 15:49, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ricardus Cibarius (talk) 15:49, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ricardus Cibarius: You can click either on the "Talk" link, at the top of the page directly above the page title, to get to the article talkpage, or you can review the page history and click on a talk link there, which brings you to the specific user's talkpage. 19:19:19, 23 November 2020 review of draft by Ecsk

[edit]

Hello, I made a submission, and it was declined by wikipedia editors. That's well and good, I now understand better the requirements. I'm just wondering how I can delete the submission all together? Thanks! Ecsk (talk) 19:19, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ecsk, The draft has been deleted either because you requested it to be deleted by placing a CSD template on it or completely blanked it. You may try asking for Refund of the draft if you want to improve it. Thanks. ─ The Aafī (talk) 20:45, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

22:09:59, 23 November 2020 review of draft by Dgallucci15

[edit]
How am I supposed to cite my sources if I am a first person account. I am related to the person I am writing about.

Dgallucci15 (talk) 22:09, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dgallucci15, Unfortunately in your case, sources for the article have to be published sources. If you are related to the person, it may be a good idea to ask for news coverage about him to verify the information and establish notability. Zoozaz1 talk 22:27, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
