Wizard "cannot read CAPTCHA" option

On Wikipedia:Request an account/ACC Wizard/CreationFailed both the buttons "Some or all of the form will not load in my browser" and "I cannot read the CAPTCHA security check image" go to the browser troubleshooting page. The former makes sense, but the latter doesn't actually help anyone having accessibility issues with the CAPTCHA e.g. caused by visual impairments. I think the latter should just go straight to the refer to ACC step. Is there something I'm missing? the wub "?!" 20:41, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think that there are two ways to interpret the button, the captcha is not loading, or the user physically cannot read the captcha due to e.g. visual impairments. I would split the button into two buttons, "The CAPTCHA is not loading for me" and "I cannot read the CAPTCHA due to accessibility issues". 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 20:38, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've now implemented my changes per WP:BOLD and WP:BRD. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 20:41, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Recover my account

Please Unblocked my account as soon as possible Souravjain2424 Souravjain2424 (talk) 20:37, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why? You're making this request from the account in question! Jalen Folf (talk) 20:46, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You requested an unblock, when in fact you were not blocked. You are now. Why? You keep writing about yourself, and instead of asking for guidance, or reading the rules, you start by hijacking other articles. Please read the notes left in your User Talk Page, before you continue. -- Alexf(talk) 21:08, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of tool access

I haven't been able to put as much time into the projects recently as I would need to be, and I can't really see this changing in the immediate future.

Could I have my access to the ACC tool removed, and the account creator permission removed please.

Thanks, ~~ Alex Noble/1-2/TRB 08:04, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Help

Could anyone familiar with this area perhaps look at User talk:76.142.121.185 and offer their ideas as to why they might be prevented from creating or even requesting an account? They should be able to, as the block on their IP allows account creation, but they say they can't. 331dot (talk) 08:02, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Current backlog?

Hi ACC team, how far is the current backlog? A VRT customer wanted to check on their request (ticket:2024073010007012). — xaosflux Talk 14:24, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'll leave a note on the ticket on this specific request for it has already been responded to and is closed.
For the more general answer, we have 16 requests open right now in the main queue, all but one of which are less than 18h old. The larger concern is the queue awaiting checkuser attention, which is nearly 200 requests long, the oldest of which are in the range of 3mo old. Anyone (who can read XML) can pull the current queue lengths from ACC's API at https://accounts.wmflabs.org/api.php?action=status stwalkerster (talk) 19:52, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
