Questions

[edit]

Just curious, who arranged for this meetup to take place at the library? And are we expected to work on the Obama pages? (I'm not anti-Obama or anything - I voted for him - but it seems like we might attract more people with a broader range of topics.) Zagalejo^^^ 19:35, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was asked to set something up and I did. They will hopefully be including it in the webpage banners in the final week at www.chipublib.org. I gave them a topic for the collaboration. If any topic is in their banners, it will be Obama's Chicago years. There is also some possibility that a reference librarian is preparing to help us research with this topic in mind. It remains unclear if we will have a reference librarian helping us or just a room. However, if we have one that is the topic that they are preparing for.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 19:43, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply. I might actually show up, depending on what my schedule is like. Zagalejo^^^ 04:33, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I made some edits earlier to include other topics and might have been a bit harsh. It is not a bad idea at all to add info about Obama's early life and career. Acaiber (talk) 23:13, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Acaiber[reply]

Review of event

[edit]

It would be great if you could add a few more sentences to the front side of this page describing how the event went, and highlights of articles edited etc.--Pharos (talk) 03:32, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not much to say really. Four attendees, including myself. Two with computers, including myself. I can't tell if the other editor actually made a single edit to any relevant page. She was either using an IP or doing non-WP stuff. My result is Hyde Park-Kenwood Historic District. I also edited a few WP:LEADs.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:33, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
