Event rule 5

Can you please clarify the following? Does that mean if I submit an article for 20-minute review and it fails then I cannot submit it during editathon even if I intend to improve it during editathon period acting upon the suggestions? GA nominations that are quick-failed will not be counted as a qualifying editathon submission for either a nominator or a reviewer, but articles nominated in good faith that are fully reviewed and failed may stay. "Quick-failed" here refers to the GA quickfail. It's completely separate from the 20-minute review here, which is just a way to get feedback from editors on whether your article is ready to formally nominate for GA.

I would assume that even if you submit an article for GA and it is quick-failed (which is very rare, in my experience, and is generally only for very obviously inadequate articles), you could resubmit it and have the second review (assuming it wasn't quick-failed again) count in the editathon. But if you submit a GA to the 20-minute review process here there's no such thing as a quickfail: you might be advised that there are issues you really need to fix before the GA nomination, but the point of that is to make sure you don't then have the submission quick-failed, which isn't fun either for the nominator or for the reviewer. First week down

Hey all, hope you're all doing well. We are now a week into the edit-a-thon and I'm very pleased to see we're making progress on our goals! So far, we have nominated women and women's works from 6 different centuries and have gotten entries in our timelines for ancient history, the middle ages and modern history. Lots of interesting articles being nominated! I'm going to see if I can add another one from ancient history later this month – in past, the oldest biography I've worked on was from 1654 (AD), so it's a neat challenge diving much deeper into history. Half way through

As the second week comes to a close, it's good to see we're still making progress. So far, we have nominated 12 articles about women from 7 different centuries, and many of those already have reviews open. That's fantastic! We have the late modern period thoroughly covered at this point, so it would be good to see if we could get more representation for earlier periods of history going forward. One week left!

Hey all! We're now through our third week of the edit-a-thon and we now have 20 articles nominated from 8 different centuries. We're averaging almost one nomination every day, which is amazing to see. It unfortunately seems like we may not be meeting our main goal of 20 centuries' representation, but so long as we're getting more articles about women and women's works to GA, that's what matters. Let's see if we can get some more stuff reviewed in the last week, as about half of our nominations are unreviewed and there's still quite a thick backlog that needs reviewing too. I was looking for articles that I might be able to improve in periods without nominations, but I found it too hard so I gave that up and improved and nominated an article about a past event, going back in time several days... :-) – Editør (talk) 14:44, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
