American Women in Science[edit]

Hey all, I've been going through this (excellent) book to find coverage gaps for the worklist, and I've gotten through the Ks alphabetically. I'll be away from it all weekend, so don't think I've forgotten about it! I'll find the rest of the missing articles Sunday night/early Monday. Best, Keilana|Parlez ici 18:43, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I'm also slowly adding things, just been busy too. I'm still tagging with the project talk template and when I do that I add the women to Wikidata :) SarahStierch (talk) 18:52, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, as it turns out, a lot of female scientists aren't actually categorized in the "Women xxxx" categories, so I'm sort of coming across them as I go. How do you add stuff to Wikidata? That sounds helpful! :) Keilana|Parlez ici 19:19, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merging to-do list from past edit-a-thons, adding WP template[edit]

Hey there, So I've been running a bunch of edit-a-thons in New England specifically involving women in STEM and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to simply add the slew of bio pages still needing work to the worklist here? The lists tend to focus on improvements rather than new articles, as you can see here. Also, to increase publicity for the WP Women Scientists project, should I just go ahead and add the project template to every page? I'm not quite sure about adding priority levels, but I can certainly add the basic template, and I can suggest that edit-a-thon attendees do this for the articles they work on at any and all future events. Personally, I haven't been diligent about adding the project template to articles I've worked on in the past (I didn't actually realize that was a desired task), but I'm happy to do that moving forward. @Girona7: Hi, that would be fantastic! Feel free to add whatever you can find. And yes, it's really helpful to add the template for statistics and assessment, if you can. Thank you so much! Keilana|Parlez ici 01:59, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Elizabeth M. Ramsey[edit]

Hi. I selected Elizabeth M. Ramsey at random from the worklist and have started an article. Would love some help! Chris vLS (talk) 01:43, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi -- I picked another page at random from the worklist, would love help on science educator and education researcher Mary Budd Rowe . . . thanks! Chris vLS (talk) 01:53, 18 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia erased biography of colombian scientist[edit]

Good day,

I created a Wikipedia page with the biography of Dr Catalina Lopez-Correa an important Colombian scientist in the field of genomics. Reviewers of Wikipedia decided that the page was publicity and delete it, but I created the page as part of a project to highlight the work of Colombian scientist that was lead by Lina Gallego-Paez in 2015, she was in contact to Dr Fausto-Starling for having advice on this matter. Is there a way in which I can publish the page through your group? Thank you,

Moving Articles from "To be created" to "to be improved/expanded"[edit]

Is there a way to move requests for articles to be created that have been created but need to be expanded to the other category? Thanks Biochemlife (talk) 11:53, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have a list on my userpage of women scientists without articles[edit]

I tabulate the Scopus citation metrics of AfD academic subjects as compared to all or most of their coauthors, whose citation data I put into a giant spreadsheet. This leads me to the names of dozens of STEM women who generally pass NPROF C1 by very wide margins (e.g. Susan L. McElroy, whose h-index is 111). I have just now started putting them in a sortable table transcluded on my userpage. I include links to their relevant professional profiles as well as total citations, h-index, and highest single citation. I am no good at writing articles, but hopefully this will be of use to some of you? JoelleJay (talk) 04:56, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
